I am considering switching my insurance from direct line to swiftcover after discovering that they can reduce my insurance by about £500!!
Has anyone had any experience with swiftcover, good or bad? The price is good, but how is the service?

hi my girlfriend has started using them it saved her quite alot of money. you have to print off your docs from the pc. she went last week to tax her car and there was no probs at the p/o with the print offs. she hasnt made any claims so far so we dont know if there will be any probs there. but it all seems ok so far0

They came in about the same as Direct Line online for me so I went with the one DL. But hey are referred to a lot on the Honda S2000 site as being a good place for insurance, not many complaints from what I've seen.0

I've only used them for a quote so far but interestingly enough I put my girlfrind as a named driver and declared her as "unrelated". Changing her status to "partner" reduced the premium by about £200! Most other quotes have had no change when doing this!0

This has to be the worst company I've ever had the misfortune to deal with.
They never reply to any written correspondence and their phone lines are always busy.
When you do finally get through, the service ranges from seemingly helpful to absolutely inept.
The result, however, is the same.
After 3 months of being d*cked around and still no resolution , I've had enough.
No wonder their quotes are so cheap. They'll take your money, and then, when it's time to make a claim, they'll leave you twisting in the wind.
You'll rue the day you ever made a claim with these guys.
Stay clear of them.
Their slogan is "Click Click, don't Cluck Cluck"
It should be more like "Click Click, and f*ck off". :mad:0 -
My mate has his insurance with them and he has made a claim and it was all sorted out 'swiftly'.0

They were my cheapest quote last year so I'm with them
I made a windscreen claim last year and they were really good on that, was sorted out the same day that I phoned them up
I have not had an accident so I can't comment on thisIndecision is the key to flexibility0 -
Certainly cheap and fine at the beginning - everything sorted out on-line. :T
Just had to make a claim last week, still trying to get someone to call me back about a courtesy car and to progress the claim, despite a few promises made to arrange immediate callbacks. No proper responses from their claim team, endless waiting in phone queues, very slow response to any emails.
At the moment their customer service gets 0/10.
Stop Press Update!!!
After making a complaint I have been given a personal contact at Swiftcover who has moved things along very rapidly. I'm now expecting a courtesy car on Monday and repair of my car within 1 week. I'll reserve judgement for a week or so but certainly this is a big improvement.0 -
I bought a policy from them today. Was £50 cheaper than the next lowest quote, plus they are doing a promotion of £50 cash back if you take out the policy in January.
Application was very easy. All done online.
Simplicity and price 10/100 -
I took out a policy yesterday with Swiftcover on an additional car, largely on the basis of their £50 off offer.
Despite trawling through all their pages and pop up screens, links, etc. I could find no information about for how long they will give you the benefit of previous no claims bonus. The industry standard is two years, so I signed up assuming they would be the same.
Anyway, as soon as I had paid, a screen appeared which said they will only take evidence up to a year old, so I was not impressed.
The cynic in me wonders if they want to get people signed up,then once you are on the hook, spring the news on you that you will have to pay a lot more.
Without the £50 offer they would not have been any cheaper than Direct Line, my current insurer for our other cars, who will give you the benefit of your no claims bonus built up on another car currently insured with them (i.e. sharing the no claims bonus) provided the additional car is in one of the lower groups :T (i.e. not sports cars etc.) This does have to be done on the phone though as the internet system is not flexible enough and doesn't tell you anyway.0
