    Right folks

If I am to be ready when P-P collects me, I had better go and get some beauty sleep.

Thank you Candygirl, Lindsay and CM - must admit I was very scared as it came on so suddenly! Even a month to improve is going to seem like a month too long for OH as he is now having trouble shutting his eye, think we will need eyedrops. How awful for your little lad and yourself CM glad he recovered ok, OH has had a fair bit of ear ache with this.

(((hugs))) Martyn - remember nothing is ever so bad - you will get past this what you need is a hug from those lovely hounds of yours. My oh is having lots of cuddles from our puppy she seems to know he is down.

Just wanted to add (((Big hugs))) to Smokey - I really cannot imagine the nightmare you are having to endure and pray for you daily that this too will pass and oh will soon be well.

edited. Martyn, I've got good shoulders. Feel free to have a cry, but sorry you're feeling so down. Anything special, or just life as 'tis lived? ((hugs))

Considering it's only been a month or so, I thought I was dealing with this divorce business reasonably well. I really don't know what happened tonight. It could be dealing with the sale of all my diving gear or probably it's the fact that I had a long talk with the wife earlier and we sorted things out as amicably as we can and I'm now wondering where life is taking me. And I am still crying. Sorry.

catznine, DS had that problem with shutting his eye. The consultant had a young trainee nurse with him, and explained to her that it doesn't take muscles to close the eye, only to keep the eye open:confused: Tell DH to try totally relaxing and the lid should close quite a bit. When he's asleep you can gently close it for him, but eyedrops are needed if the eye gets too dry. I think he'll feel improvement long before a month, but any drooping of his face may be a little longer in resolving itself. The good thing is that nearly all Bells Palsy totally resolves itself in time.:D

Martyn, crying can be good:D I was crying at the weekend, and on Monday. It was cathartic, and I feel better now. Crying is what separates us from the animals. It's good if you and your wife can be friendly at this sad and hard time, and try not to hurt each other. We're all here for each other, good times and bad;)

((((hugs)))) Martyn - It is still very early days and this will be like a roller coaster ride at times with your emotions all over the place. Just try to take one day at a time for now. You will get through this, you are stronger than you think, we all are.

Haribo - that picture was wicked :D
I looked at it at work and got some weird looks as i made a sort of strangled sound as i tried not to laugh out loud, there were loads of people around who stared as i squirmed and tried burying my head and pretending the noise wasn`t from me.:o
