Afternoon everyone
Finished work for the week not a moment to soon I'm full of cold again. I think DD and myself are just passing germs between ourselves.
Plans for the afternoon are to sort out some washing and make a meal. Our meals are becoming increasingly random as I'm trying to use up the contents of the store cupboard before the kitchen gets ripped out.
Have a good afternoonSorting my life out one day at a time0 -
Very windy day and have only just put washing on the line.
DH has a meeting today and will probably not be hungry when he gets back so might make stuffed tortillas for DDs tonight.
So glad that smokeys husband seems a bit better.
After all the sad news I feel petty for sulking that our house is not selling.
Would like to help knit squares but will need to check needles and get wool.
Are we supposed to put our name on the squares or leave blank?
I like the idea of a cream bun as a cure all!;)
Hugs to everybody and see you later."This site is addictive!"

Back from drs and oh has Bells Palsy not too bad but having trouble eating and drinking so off to check the recipe thread for some inspiration other than soups.
I had to rescue our swing seat this morning as it got blown down the garden earlier, had to give up with the cover as it was acting like a sail in all this wind!
I have weighed the seat down with a couple of paving slabs and it hasn't moved yet!
Puppy had a quick walk around the block with her ears blowing in all directions! Not going out again until tonight for part 4 of the lent course. Just going to sit by the fire, drink tea, watch a film and knit - I know how to live it up don't I?
(((Hugs))) for your friend Crazychick

Hi all. Late posting today as I've been a Busy Flitter. Very windy here still (and that's not just because of the lentils and sprouts we had for dinner last night). The sun's out though which makes it all seem a bit better.
Smokey <hugs> to you, I hope things are on the way up now for you.
<Hugs> to Emma too, that poor family, what they have been through.
Well I'm in the middle of swishing around the house with my vinegar and mop. DS21 comes home from uni for Easter on Friday (yay! :T ) so I'm cleaning and polishing his room ready for him. Can't wait to see him, it seems a Long Time since Christmas.
Going to make fish pie for tea, yummy  it's my favourite and no one else likes it, so cue the moans and groans and much digging about for non-existent bones
Right, must get on with the dusting. Hugs to all!

Afternoon all.
ICECUBEQUEEN - (((Hugs))) to your uncle - what awful news.
CRAZY - thinking about your friend. As for the squares, crocheted ones will go with the knitted ones as long as they're 8" x 8". Knitting and crochet always look great together, I think.
HILSTEP - thinking about you.
Well, I managed to get to the gym and really enjoyed it. DH came back for lunch and then, when he left, I promptly dozed off on the sofa. That's because I was up at about 3am this morning!
It's been blowing a gale here all day with just bits of rain now and again. I didn't dare put the washing on the line - I'd never see it again.
Well, think I'll make a cuppa, do a bit of filing and get the casserole underway for dinner.
See everyone later.

Just have to share my luck last night.
There was an incident which caused the roads around my local ASDA to be closed. Nobody could get in the car park, so they must have shopped elsewhere. I passed the reduced meat section and walked away with 7 packets of lamb chops down from £2.80 to 60p a packet. Also one huge happy pig joint down form £8 to £2. So big I have cut it in half to freeze. There was tons more but sadly my freezer is not big enough to take it.
It not vary often I catch them discounted so much. Just had to share it.0 -
Good Afternoon All
What a horrible day, so much for it getting better this a-noon.
Its been announced on the local radio that DS school will be closed again tomorrow. So looks like myself & Dlb's both DS's will be coming with us for the mini-meet! Luckily they will be old enough (ish) to go shopping and leave us folks to get on with things!
Got really bad P pains, stomach, back everything ache's. dont feel like doing a great deal, but sadly jobs still have to be done, was going to have bangers & mash for dinner, but its just sausage sandwich Im afraid!
I spent an hour sorting through my pantry earlier, mainly the tons of carrier bags I have. Ive folded every single one of them up, clumped together with elastic bands. Cant believe how much I have now! How sad!
Right off to sort out my DW, WM & TD!
