Aw Nels. I know how hard that will be for you. (((((HUGS)))))
Sorry to hear about your OH Catznine. Did they say how long it would take to clear up?
Hope you get the place for your Dad Mrs Mix.
Hope you feel better soon Hillstep.
Aussie. Thanks for the latest pic. The fringe looks fine but I'd lay off the heavy lifting in the veggie patch for a bit.

Well, its strange how things turn out. I had an email today from someone who lives in the next county to us, (the smallest county in England) asking me if I would like to have a stall at a craft fair at the end of August........so this afternoon I had a quick trip to Dunelm to get 100% cotton curtain lining for wholecloth cushion covers and I picked up some canvas to make 'green' shopping bags lined with patchwork.....its a long story......someone gave me some of those decorator books with fabric samples in and I cut them up into 4" squares, I am still using these up 10 years later............I will not throw them away, I am too mean.............
She also wants me to have a ring pillow for commission orders and some cards and patchwork things. She has also asked if I will take the machine and do demo's.........it looks like I am going to be busy, so you will have to excuse me if I do not get round to posting every day............work has started, tonight I have sewn together the squares for the lining of the prototype 'green' shopper.
Hey Ho...............away we go...............Was 13st 8 lbs,Now 12st 11 Lost 10 1/4lbs since I started on my diet.0 -

Hiya!
Well it was Wet and Windy Wednesday here today!
I was awake from 5am listening to the wind blowing things up the road. The children in school were not allowed outside all day as there was flying debris across the school yard and a huge tree was blown over outside the school. The Head was being extra cautious, as last year during the very windy weather part of the school roof blew off and we closed the school.
Unfortunately the windy weather had it's usual effect of winding the pupils up. This included one of the two 4 year old Austistic boys in my class who had 2 enormous tantrums and decided to start throwing chairs and kicking and punching everyone including me. In the end I carried him off into the Head's office where she 'took over'. What a day! I came home bruised, shattered and with a huge headache.
I'm on a course tomorrow so that should be more peaceful and less painful.;)
After work I took the girls over to my parents for tea and it was lovely to have my parents fussing over me and feeding me! :rotfl:
Not much OS here today apart from the wm which is on now.
I'm off to bed in a mo as I'm falling asleep now!0 -
Managed to get some food into OH but it isn't easy for him! We don't know how long it will take for him to get better I'm afraid, could be anything from 3 weeks to 3 months!:eek:very frustrating for him - hopefully won't get much worse only time will tell!
Waiting to hear from Physio which our Dr feels will help. Just thankful it isn't anything worse though. When his face went numb we did worry it might have been a stroke. Our days are happier when we give people a bit of our heart rather than a piece of our mind.

I can so sympathise catznine! DS4 had a Bells Palsy at about 7/8 when we were on holiday. First time I'd ever heard of it, and it presented by half his face seemingly paralyzed:eek: I have never been so scared in all my life. I thought it was some weird creeping paralysis. He had to have an operation ( his was caused by a dreadful ear infection) where they perforated his eardrum, but he made a full recovery. It did take about 3 months in total but was greatly improved after about one month. (((hugs))) to OH, DS4 never got physio ( our GP didn't reckon it:rolleyes: The consultant in Devon had said it would be good;) ) I'm sure his recovery will be quicker if he gets it.
edited. Martyn, I've got good shoulders. Feel free to have a cry, but sorry you're feeling so down. Anything special, or just life as 'tis lived? ((hugs))You never get a second chance to make a first impression.0
