    Good morning everybody :hello:

smokybabe, perhaps it's my imagination but your post last night came across as much calmer than you have been for the last couple of weeks. Glad everybody is being supportive of you (and I'm not surprised you've been having panic attacks!) Big hugs as usual.
Crazychik - hugs to your friends and their family - some people seem to have all the awful luck in life.

It's very windy again in London today, but mercifully not rainy - I hate the sort of weather where umbrellas are useless and you can't help but get soaked to the skin! On Monday the streets were littered with corpses - of umbrellas :D

Been really busy at work the past few days, but that's all out of the way so I've got today as a "bumming around doing admin" day ;) Then I am on leave for the rest of the week :j :j :j :j

The beauty salon at my gym had a promotion on yesterday - free 15-min facial skincare consultations. I went for mine and got recommended some products, and the girl tried to sell me a course of facials for "only" £243 for six sessions     A huge bargain of course, as it was £81 off the full price of £324, which is £54 a time  She was such a lovely girl I couldn't bring myself to say HOW MUCH???? or to let on that I've already booked myself in for a 1 hour deep cleansing facial this Friday at the London College of Beauty Therapy for £15, which I think is much more my sort of price :D Needless to say I politely declined her special offer :rotfl:

donny-gal, that duck recipe sounds  - I would have been dubious about putting it in the slow cooker, too, but that sounds REALLY yummy. I still haven't got round to using up the duck that's been nesting in my freezer for months, so perhaps I'll try it...

    Anyway must be off

    Love Rzl xx

    Morning All!
Bit late for me today. Legs are not working properly, just about managing to get round the house at the mo. Been on the steroids since Friday, but seems to have got worse not better:mad: Hate being like this.
Still, plumber came yesterday and put a new radiator in the hall, so that the bottom of the stairs is now clear. He put thermostats on my other rads too, which is a job we've been meaning to do for ages. Electrician then came and wired up for the satirlife. Builder is coming tomorrow to replace the banister spindles, then hopefully next week, stair lift will be in!:T I tell you, I could do with it now!:o

Had to put a mate off this week, she was going to come and stay for a few days, but I'm not very sociable at the mo. DS is being great, and looking after me. OH isn't coming over this week, but keeps checking up on me. Daddy is very concerned, but I keep reassuring him I'm okay!

(((((((((((((((HUGS)))))))))))) for Smokey. Glad you've got some sick leave sorted, and it'll get better. Hang on in there.

    Have a great day all.

Morning all  hope you are all well

    (((hugs))) for smokeybabe
    Crazychik, that's really sad :(

I got back from Berlin Monday night - we had a lovely weekend, OH is still there, but his conference ends today so he will fly back late this evening. It's been so long since I stopped to relax I'd almost forgotton what it felt like.

My boss is away, so I went shopping this morning and am now sitting at my desk eating cookies; I have to leave early for an Open day this afternoon, so there isn't much I can do here at the moment other than paperwork. I was supposed to be going to London to work for a few days, but the instrument I need to use isn't behaving, so that's shelved for the time being.

I didn't sleep well, it's been really windy here too, so I've been playing computer games all night and now the lack of sleep is punishing me.

Oh, this morning I saw a Morphy Richards cream coloured slow cooker in sainsbury's Oxford Westgate centre (3.5 ltr) reduced to £10 - don't know if that is of use to anyone.

Have a good day all, cel x

    Good morning:D

Didn't get a chance to post yesterday, every time I got to the end of the thread and went to post, something came up:rolleyes:

(((((((smoky))))))) glad you've been signed off, that will give you a bit of breathing space, and hopefully the medication will take the edge off your anxiety attacks.

crazychik, how awful for your friend and her family. She must be so glad of your support.

Aussie, I'm really not going to say a word about your fringe.:lipsrseal  :silenced: :shhh: Anyone who thought it amusing would have to be really mean.:rotfl: :rotfl: :D Go on, show us a photo:D ;)

It's a better day here today, well at least it's dry. Windy too, so as long as the washing stays pegged to the line, that will dry nicely:D Yesterday, it changed from sunny but blowy, to rainy and blowy, about every 20 minutes so was useless:rolleyes:

Dinner tonight is veal. I don't believe I've ever tasted it, but DH likes it and since I've read that British rose veal is humanely farmed, I thought I'd treat him. I had a stash of Waitrose/John Lewis gift vouchers so used them on food treats at Waitrose yesterday:D Veal is very expensive:eek: You can tell I've never bought it to cook before:o Also treated us to some venison for casseroling. He wasn't getting frying venison as well as veal:rotfl: Oh and some Aberdeen Angus beef. And other expensive stuff, and it only cost me 38p:D

Well best be off, the housework fairies seem to have lost my address, so I'll have to plough through it myself;)

    Enjoy your days,

    CM x

    Afternoon everyone,

So sorry to hear about your friend Crazychick - life just dosen`t seem fair sometimes.

Well the weather here is terrible it`s actually stopped raining for a while and the sun is shining but the wind is soooo strong!
I`ve just been on the local weather site and it says the gusts have reached over 62mph  I am dreading the drive to work.

I walked the hounds earlier and we were almost blown away, the rain got us good and proper so we were soaked and freezing too, a good hot shower soon put me right and after a good rub down with a warm towel the hounds went to sleep.

oh how i wish the phone would ring telling me i`m not needed at w**k today!

Keep safe every one and huge ((((hugs)))) to everyone, needed or not.

Back from the hairdressers - verdict is the one I found in Spain is good and knew how to colour and cut hair, only slight trim and roots needed.

DH decided he was bored so tackled the lounge, everything moved dusted and polished, as well as taking washing out and putting in dryer and re-loading washer. My hero:love:. Sorry folks have not managed the amputation of the dryer. No line outside, looking for where we can put one.

Crazy - ((hugs)) I was so lucky with both sets of parents more than willing and friends to cover if CM couldn't.

    hilstep (((hugs))

Must decide what to do for dinner tonight, I have mince, sausages, lamb chops and chicken breasts in the chiller, DH will only eat the first two willingly, but I get bored with them, might do the mince and make a cottage pie for him, he can then have it tomorrow when we are out feasting at the meet, will see but may do something different for me.

    Off to get some lunch.
