    Would that be Bill's?
Nope I like my view to be of mountains not the strip ...and I like to have a pool-if Bill's had a pool it might beat the Orleans (and if they've added one since the name change I'm there the next no teenagers in tow trip :) ) Same owners though so I guess we're working on the same principle but the extra facilities like multi-screen cinema, lots of food choices, bowling etc work better for a family-and I love the Showroom at the Orleans. After a first visit I don't think it matters if you stay on strip and the Orleans shuttle is so good you may as well be anyway. With rates as low as $27 at both and the price guarantee which I've activated almost every time-and a flat 20% players rate room discount both are hard to beat for value for a decent hotel.
I like the bathroom windows too :D

Mine is north american bath tubs that hold just a couple of inches of water. After hours cramped on a 'plane I'd like nothing more than a nice soak to relax my muscles, but there's just no way you can do that. I don't see the point of having the teeny baths - might as well just have a shower. The only exception I've found to this is the Venetian in Las Vegas which had an enormous bath - I'm pretty sure I danced around the room when I first saw it :)

If hotels don't want to provide Sky, why don't they fit a Freeview box, I'm sure they could do it so that it was secure and it would give THEIR customers some decent options.

    So simple.

Having to listen to the room next door's noisy sexual Olympics till the early hours and finding you can't change rooms! Banging on the wall only seemed to cue them to get louder....:eek::eek:

...Maybe I should have pushed a note under their door and asked for a ringside seat as they seemed to be advertising for a bliddy audience?!?!?!?!?

    Definitely agree with some posts:

Why should you pay for parking when you've already paid more because it's a city hotel?
Poor lighting is really annoying - recently had suite at posh Edinburgh Hotel - lots of atmospheric lighting - tastefully placed lamps - no overhead light and bedside lamps that were not designed to be used for reading - in fact I could not see to read with all the lights in the room on.
Mini Bars with the sensor pads are a pain although I agree that I have never had a problem asking for items to be removed from the bill as I have not used them. Have travelled a lot with daughter and babies and we wanted space in the fridge for baby bottles.
Showers that only dribble and have eccentric controls

On the good side most buffet breakfasts are good value (in Thailand they were amazing)

One of the worst experiences in UK was 4* well known chain at Heathrow. Arrived about 7pm for 6.30am check in at airport. Porter took luggage up and disppeared quickly presumably having noted before we did that beds were not made. A wet towel was on one bed, another on a chair, the shower had plainly been used in the last half an hour and the dresser was covered in wet rings marks from cans/glasses. Grudging apologies from reception who sent someone to sort but said they hadn't another room. After an hour of trying to get to sleep but disturbed by a smell we started to search the room. Eventually looked in mini bar - no drinks but the remains of a takeaway curry - looked about 3 days old. Phone call to reception said they would sort it out tomorrow!!! Further phone calls and eventually re-dressing and going down to reception got it removed. Unfortunately I had paid in advance.

Their response to the complaint when I got home was to offer me a free upgrade next time I stayed there!!!
