Yeah, overpriced mini bars are so annoying. I just empty it out and fill it with goodies from local supermarket. i.e. stuff I specifically can choose at a much lower price!

    Charging for internet/gym/swimming pool use...

    When they don't clean properly!

Yeah I like to empty the mini bar for my own goodies but.......... I've stayed in hotels where the mini bar drinks are all on little sensor pads so just picking up the bottle to look at it registers at the front desk and ultimately on your card. Thankfully the desk staff refunded me straightaway but even so its a bit naughty !

No-where in the bathroom to hang a wash bag (you know the ones that open out and have a hook on them).

No-where to hang a garment bag.

Showers that do little more than dribble!

Not enough/no phone sockets and/or power points at the desk.

Beds that don't have a reachable switch that turns off ALL the lights!
There is a pleasure in the pathless woods, There is a rapture on the lonely shore, There is society, where none intrudes, By the deep sea, and music in its roar: I love not man the less, but Nature more...

smelly shower curtains - that foisty, damp smells that turns your stomach (like when a dishcloth has been left to dry out)

Fixed showers. Yes I know it saves on leaks, wear & tear, and also stops the floor getting wet, but how on earth are you supposed to shower when the thing is mixed to the wall?

I am also not really sure how the chambermaids can clean the bath either....which puts me off having a bath.

[must remember to pack bathroom wipes when we next go away...then the OH laughs at me :)]

When you finally get to your room after a long tiring journey, you find the keycard doesn't work and have to traipse back to reception with your luggage again... happens to me more often than not, am I just unlucky?

When you stay in Hotels with tiled floors & the person in the room above seems to spend the entire duration of your stay walking around all night in high heels whilst dragging the bed & wardrobe around with them.

We had that exact same experience in Pisa!!

I've only ever stayed in a hotel (briefly) three times in my life, and I hate the uncomfortably firm beds (they were like concrete slabs in Italy) which are also too short and too narrow for two people to share, the inescapable sound of the next-door neighbours 'activities',..... and I absolutely despise the assumption that everyone wants p0rn available on the tv  . That makes me want to scrub the place with Dettol.
