Anyone any suggestions to this question as i am in the exact same position, go on, kill two birds with one stone.
Thanks
Hi,
I am in the same position as Keltbrat and Loid:
I have €3500 euros that I want to convert to sterling.
The post office is the best rate I have found so far- has anyone any better suggestions?
Thanks!0 -
The intra-day rate has just touched 1.10 Euros to the pound on the BBC website!
And it started the day at 1.08.
The recovery is here!
Expect a 2 cent fall tomorrow!.....0 -
hi i am going to eygpt next month and am not sure what currency to take or where to buy it? also i have a nationwide basic flex account is that good to withdraw cash when i am there or would taking cash with me be better? Thanks0

Yes, it's up at 1.1069 right now. I am pleased to see that.
Means I have more of a choice where I go this year.........hope it recovers some more. If I can get about 1.15 I won't complain. Obviously I'd prefer if it went back to 1.60 that it was when it came out at first!!! lol.0 -

CURRENCY:
Egyptian Pound (EGP; symbol E£) = 100 piastres. Notes are in denominations of E£200, 100, 50, 20, 10, 5, 1, 50 piastres and 25 piastres. Coins are in denominations of 25, 20, 10 and 5 piastres.
Not having bought any currency lately I can't say from experience (I don't travel much  ), but I've heard Marks and Spencers and the Post Office are good.:wave:0 -
Thank God for that, may actually be able to do some shopping in Florence at the end of the month.0

Hi Guys,
just been reading a couple of pages on this thread, i'm going skiing in Austria next week (a week on sunday) and didnt know what to do about my money!!?? Myself and my b/f need to change our money (that is currently in the bank - Barclays and RBS) to euros by mid next week - my local travel agent said they do no commission gteed buy back for £3ish.
What shall I do!!!! - We have together just under £2000 to change into Euros (still not paid for our accommodation, dont have all that spending money)
Where is best and do they all do the same exchange rates or are some places better than others?? ie airport, post office travel agent Austria???
And whats the current exchange rate.. I looked on the below link that is up for BBC but didnt really understand it... should I wait till next week?

These are one for the best rates and they deliver free to your door if you order above £300 worth.

I just discovered that preordering euros for collection at airport via wepromiseto [cash back site] via travelex earns an extra .25% cashback and very good rates !0

We are travelling to Europe in March. I found the company crown currency exchange on this site, they offer the best rate for euros at 1.10 euro to the pound for prepurchasing currency at this early stage.
If we pay by credit card, will the transaction be protected by the credit card company in the event of the company's insolvency or none deliverance of the money?
Many thanks
kind regards
