If you pay by credit card you will be ripped off by your card company`s charges.
Buying money on a CC is the most expensive way of doing it.

€1-10 to the £ is no big deal for March.
It`s due to hit that in the next few days.
Today on the markets it ended up at €1-11

I used to use Travelex all the time but they lost the contract at the two most used low cost airline bases of Stansted and Luton.

Not a clever move by them.
  • shall i wait till mid next week and see what is coming out at against the £ to euro then??? I dont know whether to change it now at 1-07E or not!?

With the BoE interest rate cut out of the way and today`s TOURIST rate from ICE at €1-0725 to the £, it may strengthen up to next week`s ECB meeting, which is expected to cut rates in Euroland.

All you can really do is keep your eye on it each day at ICE
Also you can watch which way it`s heading throughout the day at:

But don`t forget this is the trading rate.

    when is that meeting?

    A week today.
A small cut is forcast but markets tend to price it in,hence the £ picking up.

Try the post office 0% comission, dunno how their exchange rates fair against the real ones though. I've just used my local post office the last few time because they're friendly, convenient, and... local!
  • Euroland just slashed their rates by 0.50% to 2.00% as was largely expected

early days, but not alot of change to the fx rate - currently 1.1090 in the markets
