Because I now know that V festival tickets are only released in March, by Virgin Radio, and then the ticketmaster outlets. This company are already selling tickets for next years V, and aslo no secure web page for entering details, try, I booked 10 tickets on a made up number, with shoddy names and address etc. See how far you get on a legit site, getting only one digit wrong on your CVV number when you are buying something! I tried with Tesco, and it know's that the number is incorrecet the moment you proceed to checkout. Good idea for checking sites in future if they have no lock bottom right, it's not secure! Sorry for the waffle.....:rotfl:0

I have e mailed the V festival site and asked them if they feel they are doing enough to stop these people? I have given the paperticket address and the sales pitch is copied word for word from the official site.0

Thought I would point out that a limited number of tickets for V 2009 went on sale on 19th August so although the majority of tickets are available in March it is possible that the company you have declared as being a dead cert on the con front may actually have some tickets. Tickets for Reading 2009 are going on sale on Tuesday by the way.something missing0

I understand that, but they do not have a secure website for taking money in any way, and Virgin have not used them this year or before, if a small number for next year went on sale, please post here the official outlets if you can find them, to stop scammers and touts exploiting the 1000's they have this year already. Paperticket were on a football forum back in May and it stinks of scam, google them, the forum guys got there footy tickets, but imagine what summerfestivaltickets have done. Small tout operation, got a few hundred tickets, got 1000's of applications and thought, I'll dissolve that business and sell the tickets a second time on eBay or at venue...I have now written to Meredian TV and Sky TV, BBC are already all over it, please everyone send your stories to them, raise awareness and get these people caught!:T0
