    Morning All

I have just recieved an email from sft saying that i will get a refund direct within 3 -10 days. The email recognises I paid by visa debit card. This must be the same email as jaymmu recieved. I had emailed and written to them highlighting the restrictions on visa debit cards.

Great stuff IF it happens ???? - watch this space

Trying to staying open minded - however part of me is is thinking like rennie, hope they prove us wrong.
  • sidney sideboard - £610
    my mates wife - £145
    linpen - £445
    myself (batman1987) - £1800
    scam police - £650
    reenie3579 - £860
    steve1972 - £680
    Jake - £?

Spoke to Essex Police today. More is happening in that area now I'm pleased to say. They have had five reports.

linpen - I reckon it's a delaying tactic. Good luck but I don't hold out much hope. Did you change your debit card details when you found out about this scam?

When i recieved the email from SFT saying that they would refund my debit card they said that they'd pay it back onto the card I used but I have changed the card since I made the payment. If they pay it back using my old card number will the money still come back into my account?

    Sid

If i'm truthful so do i, cos why hasn't everyone just got an automatic refund - the frustrating thing is 'waiting' .The telling time will be once V is over

I have cancelled cards - changed passwords simply done everything i could possible think of

Many thanks for all you have done - glad Essex Police appear to be listening

P.S. Don't forget to add Mollymoo's £680 to your list
  • Hi, I haven't read through all this thread but I did just try to search it.

I bought tickets from a website https://www.xclusivetickets.com for Reading. They took my money a long time ago. Recently emailed me saying my tickets would be with me from 7th August. They hadn't arrived so I did a quick search on the net about the company, and it seems like its a dodgy site.

I paid using debit card not credit card. Where do I stand if I dont receive the tickets? Will I be able to get my money back?

    Thanks.
  • Sid,

    We've been had for 4 tickets, so that's £680.

So is reporting it to our local authority the best way? However my Aunt lives in Essex, and a build up of complaints and reports is the best way I reckon rather than a singular one out in London.

Hopefully the fact it's quite well publicised [it was in the Evening Standard yesterday] due to that Olympic competitors parents being done will help our situation.

This is another company which tells you they have your tickets when really, they go around buying them off auction sites.. if they don't get them, then neither do you. This company was actually on the reading website to be avoided (document) I'm not sure how getting a refund works with debit card, hope you get something back. These companies are utter scum. I see there website is now down.
  • Hi all,

This is my first post - joined when I saw this thread...

I'm another one who's been ripped off by Summerfestivaltickets.com. Kicking myself for it now. Thought it looked too good to be true and these things usually are. Lesson learned.

I shelled out £860 for 5 tickets. Thank God I paid on my credit card...

I got in touch with 'customer services' via email as my confirmation didn't state which campsite we were on. They got back to me 3 days later saying we'd be on the red site.

Obviously, my tickets didn't show and I got the standard 'our suppliers let us down' email on Friday night.

I've been in touch with my credit card company and sent them all relevant info. Fingers crossed they'll be able to sort my refund out ASAP.

I've also written to my local trading standards office and to Watchdog. Is there anything else I should do?

Me & 4 friends are now ticketless and can't afford new ones. Gutted.

I noticed this an article in the London Lite last night, so a fair few people must have been conned by this. B*stards.

    :(

OK, hello everyone, I have just joined to throw in my 2 cents! Well as you all have purchased V festival tickets, as I did (£310), and all got the 'sorry we've been let down by our supplier' email from them. Well for all of you who bought via credit card, contact the company, in my case HSBC, and demand under section 75 of the 1974 consumer credit act, that they refund to your card the amount charged by 'multicard' from your March (or whichever months)statement. They are obliged to refund you. Example, HSBC purchase the tickets and you purhcase under a credit agreement from them, including any interest you may have accrued, so in theory, you haven't got what you bought. If you have used a switch card/maestro, try the 'MULTICARD' route. Go to multicards website, add email address and date of sale, find number, log in and get support. I hope this company 'MULTICARDS' is similar to paypal, where they can recover your money, its also a great way to sound off at the scammers from SFT.com, log in and 'get support' For those people who used debit cards with a VISA emblem, hope is not lost. Alliance and Leicester for instance, I have been told will seek refund via the chargeback route on your behalf. Oh, and all of you, file a police report with your local police station and give them as much details as you can. If you right click the SFT website, and view source, it gives you thier IP address, which the police can use. To create some hassle for them, go onto their site via google by typing summerfestivaltickets and choose the second one down with /terms, add in fake details and fake cards, it'll give them some paperwork, tina turner manchester is a good one, i went for 10 tickets, tyrped in any old numbers and hey presto, ticket confirmation to my email. Hope this helps, when I get my refund, i'll post here. Any other success stories, please put it here. koolruss.....
