Thanks for the figures guys and gals. I'll make contact with Essex police again and press them some more.
I just thought I would update people - I had another email from the ticket office today. It was slightly different to previous and smaller but still recommended the same thing about chargeback. Anyone else get similar? Could mean they are still active?
Also, I'm looking into DV. If they are active they could still be monitoring the forums?
Anyway of communicating discreetly?Speculate to accumulate, Rodney. He who dares wins.0 -
Yes i got that one earlier in the week - i emailed sft last night informing them that i could not claim a refund via chargeback they emailed me the same email that i recieved on sat. I have also sent them a recorded letter
We still need more people to supply you with information - my son's friend paid by cc so is happy he will get his money back - but we still need these people to be part of the overall figures
Come on everyone lets get the true picture.
Many thanks Sid, Batman Mollymoo .........0 -
Hello all,
Have just joined for this specific reason as unfortunately my Aunt and my Mum used this website for V tickets and have thus been had.
Basically I'm very wound up as I was unaware my Aunt has booked tickets via this site as I knew it was dodgy, but she was convinced that they would be fine due to their quick email correspondence.
This thread is pretty big now, so could a few people just give me a general update on their situation and whether they've been successful in attempting to get refunds.
Also what sort of steps should I take to attempt to get our money back?
Cheers.
Much appreciated.0 -
hi Sid, D.V are still active and so are their other web sites. Iknow this for fact....but like you say they are probably still monitoring. don't want them to have my id etc0

I to was scammed by these people for the sum of £680 and paid by debit card back in march of which i am told i have little or NO chance of getting my money back from both from my bank and every other official avenue i have pursued so if anyone has any info on a way of at least exposing the culprits i would love to know and am willing to give you all info i have.0

Thank you for joining us
Please report everything to your local police and trading standards. However until it is clear we are not getting our monies back they will probably tell you that sft have not broken the law.
At present we are trying to collate how much people stand to lose and the area they are from0 -
Hey
I'm in the same boat as you and my friend has just recieved an email saying the same thing, about the refund 3-10 days. How frustrating, as I could buy a ticket now, if I was 100% guaranteed a refund.
Also, they were in the london paper this eve, big article on summerfestivals.com, saying that the police were investigating them, as the guy who set up the website, also set up another dodgy site, selling Bejing tickets, which has also been publicised in the press, cos people hadn't received any tickets?
What do you think the chances are that we'll get that money back? Should I buy another ticket? I don't want the !!!!!!!s to ruin my weekend!!
On the other hand, the weather is !!!!!! what to do, what to do!0 -
I just managed to get on the summerfestivaltickets site and actually click on the link to buy v festival tickets, so they are obviously still taking money! Just to make sure I selected 5 tickets and it let me go all the way to checkout and they wanted a total of £1096.88. Something really needs to be done to stop these thieves!!! It even states on the bottom that for some events you may have to fax them bank statements....0

My friend bought 5 tickets from this site for a sum of £860, unfortunately with a debit card. We are currently trying our hardest to get our money back, reporting it to the police/trading standards/watchdog etc. Considering the amount of ppl that have been conned and the overall amount of money that has been lost, it can't be said that this company have not done anything wrong. They are blatantly committing fraud, especially when their site is still operating and you can still buy tickets, even when they say they have stopped trading. Recently my friend has received an e-mail from the company saying that they will give us a full refund in 3-10 days, but i think this is just to get us off their backs. Has anyone received a similar e-mail??0
