Out of interest, has anyone actually got any money BACK yet by this company? I know there were several people trying to cancel.
• My friend bought 2 tickets to Reading from this and its costing us about £230 each. I thought from the start this site looked a bit iffy but we still went ahead. So i've being doing my research and when we made the transaction there was a https at the start of the toolbar and this has also been the case for every other test purchase i've done with fake details. Also there has always been a padlock at the right hand side of the toolbar. Click it for further details and you get the 'Should I trust this site?' question. Gorfurther and you can find this:

Why do I see different colors in the Security status bar?
When you visit a website that uses a secure connection, the color of the Security Status bar tells you whether the certificate is valid, and it displays the level of validation that was performed by the certifying organization.

Green
The certificate uses extended validation. This means that communication between your browser and website is encrypted and that the certification authority has confirmed the website is owned or operated by a business that is legally organized under the jurisdiction shown in the certificate and on the Security Status bar. The certification authority makes no assertion about the business practices of the website.

The certificate for this site is green which implies that all transactions carried over it are secure but obviously this does not necessarily mean that the website is completely safe to use. So as yet i'm still very worried but i'll keep trying to find out more.

As you will see the certificate was only valid from 21/03/08. Prior to this date the site was not secure as no active padlock/certificate etc existed, nevertheless summerfest. was claiming to have a secure site.
• From FAQ on site:

1)Why summerfestivaltickets.com.com?
• summerfestivaltickets.com.com is working under the authority/accountability of UK and Americas ticket Association
• Dedicated customer services
• 24 Hour help line
• Ask any question about your intended booking or email us for any events you can't find on the site.
Also, I've had a report from UK and America's ticket association who have never heard of this company.

After canceling my card to avoid this payment going out - I had a call from them today from a polite lady called 'Sue' at summerfestivalticket saying I 'must' call her back - I didn't. She called on 02075827044 but asked me to call back on the number listed their site - the 0870 number. I googled the landline number that she called on and its the ticketline number at Ticket2bethere and ChinaOlympic2008tickets who have also been described as dodgy.

If you have bought tickets with them I would cancel your card ASAP. The domain name was only registered a few months back - which is slightly shady and on trading standards they advise that this is a sign that its dodgy. Also, why do they need your date-of-birth? Although that the time of ordering I was pretty slow to realise, this just screams of ID theft. But the problem is that by the time you know for certain that you aren't going to get the tickets, months will have gone by that they will have had your credit card details...

Also, they are not listed on the Reading and Leeds site as being official vendors - so at the very least have to be just touts, which begs the question why they have so many tickets to sell, when ticketmaster and seetickets (official sellers) had limited numbers?

I'm not convinced by the secure stuff on the site either - you could easily just copy that lock and key thing and make your website look more legit than it is.

This thread seems to be people who have not got tickets from them (under one of their different names) right up to the point of the event that they had bought the tickets for.
