I purchased 2 tickets from Offthewalltickets last December. Last Thursday I tried to call to chase them up and got a recorded message telling me to ring an 090.... number at £1.50 per minute. This number goes through to a message taking centre, I rang twice as first girl rude & unhelpful.
I was promised an urgent message would be put through. I waited all Thursday afternoon and all day Friday, but nobody called me back, incredibly  stressful. I had googled the company by then and found this thread, I have joined to post this message.
After making arrangements to get to still see the concert, late last night I received a call on my mobile from Offthewall, simply saying the tickets would be delivered between 9 and 1pm today and required a signature, I didn't really get the opportunity to ask any questions before the caller had gone again.
Our postman delivered 2 tickets this morning at 8.15 am. I'm going to the concert tonight anyway :T and will take the tickets with me to confirm they are genuine for tomorrow night.
Deep down I know they are but I'm just hacked off with the company for putting me through so much stress, they never returned my calls or e-mails. The thread issue was the credit card details, but in the 6 months I have had no issues with fraud on my card.
So I'll update tomorrow about the tickets.
I've been told by friends that tickets are never sent until the last minute, postage costs (£10) I suppose incase show is cancelled.0 -

Hi there tightolgit... well I'm now officially out it...After various threats, quoting of various "acts" / My rights etc..... & thus providing them with my reference number from Tading Standards.. I finally got all my money back... Well, I say ALL but it was £630 as oppossed to Nothing.. You see for "there pleasure" and OH SO MUCH INCONVIENIENCE as the iffy scousers said on the dog n bone...they very kindly deducted a "One-er" for the priviallage of doing ABSOLUTLEY NAFF ALLL!!!!!!!!
... Still, as my late nan always said " a bird in the hand, is worth 2 in the bush" & up untill now I really didnt know what it meant... But I now see that even tho they took £100-00 off me... its better than the full HIT!!!
I am very fortunate to still be going to V thanks to my sisters' spare ticket, but sadly my mates cant join me at the other 3 were for them....
Hope none of you get mugged on this.. stay in touch all & hope to see your daughter there Phoebe.. :0) im sure a stiry or two will be shared over a berr or 3 there...
Good luck to all.. Glad I came out of this one Ok...0 -
Hi,
I was just doing a bit of research on the net regarding www.offthewalltickets.com and www.summerfestivaltickets.com and I came across this thread. I'll tell you my story.
I work in a message taking call centre taking calls on behalf of different business. Both of these websites have diverted all their calls to us and the £1.50 per min customer service line on their sites come to us. I constantly take calls of customers who have bought tickets through this site and are understandably upset that they have not received their tickets. It depresses me having to tell callers that they have probably been scammed. So I will stress that the number on their website just goes throught to a call centre and we cannot do anything for you other that log a message. Many times I have been at the receiving end of verbal abuse from customers due to this. This is what lead me to look into the website to see what experiences other people have had.
I have looked on www.whois.net and typed the domain names into the database. It came up with this:
Lupton, John lupton1963@hotmail.co.uk
85 The Drive
Thornton Heath
London, England CR7 8LB
GB
+44.7906539076
This is the person who has registard the domain but due to the fraudulant nature of the site you cannot be sure that even this contact is correct.
I have also reported to site the trading standards and other authrorites.
I hope this helps. And remember next time you phone their "customer service" line it might be me your talking to so please don't shout at me as I have done all I can to get this company of the web!0 -
Thank you for that msg.
It around the time now that the V Festival tickets are being sent out, so I am holding my breath to see how many people receive them from this outfit......0 -
My boyfriend purchased tickets from this site on 8th March (4 tickets!).
We have not received the tickets yet and are very worried. We have emailed them (last month) and they replied saying that 'Tickets will be sent out about 7-10 days prior to the event.' However it is now 7 days before the event and they have not been sent so I have send them an email demanding a refund. Like other people, every time I have tried to call I get told to call another number for £1.50per minute - is this where they're making all their money now?
I will keep this updated with any results...although I'm not feeling optimistic from what everyone has said...
Good luck!0 -
I also just tried that number above for 'John' which has, surprise, surprise, gone to an answer machine!0

Just to let you know i have just received an e mail stating that SFT have ceased trading and basically, thanks for giving them my money and go to your bank and ask them to refund!!!!!! As i paid by debit card don't know where i stand! HELP!!!!!!!! CAn't believe i fell for it what what an idiot!! NOT HAPPY. I'm going to police now not sure if it'll help but if enough people do it then we might get somwhere, there must be thousands been conned by this bunch!0
-
Please please report your experiences to the police. I have just been on the phone to them to hopefully start an investigation. So the more of you that also make a complaint the better!!!!!0
-
I too have just received the 'ceased trading' email after being told via email Friday that the tickets would be with me this wednesday for the Sunday at V2008 Weston, a birthday present for my wife to see Muse!!!
If i had not seen this thread on Thursday i would have been none the wiser to this scam.
Unlike the previous posts I cannot remember which card I used to pay £180 back in February, but looking back through my statements I cannot find any payments to them and no 'odd' amounts either other than my wifes paypal!!!
I agree that the police should be involved with so many being ripped off.Maybe watchdog as well may be interested?
Thanks Steve
We are sorry to inform you that we will be unable to provide you with the tickets that you have booked via our website. We have been let down by our suppliers. We are sending you this email as soon as we found out and we have now stopped trading.
