  • thats the last thing i want. someone usingmy card details. havnt heard nething from them since i asked for a refund. no e-mail to say that it has def benn cancelled.

when i was on the SFT site i noticed it had secure site written all over it. i shud have ignored that.

i phoned a number of ticket offices to ask if they had ever heard of them and they said no. they told me they wud no of most of the ticket outlets but never of this one. they told meif i recieved tickets i shud bring them down and they wud tell me if they were real. but i just went and cancelled them.
  • cancel ur card asap. I obviousy can't prove it - it's just that this particular card dosen't get used - There could be other explanations but i was always good at adding 2 and 2 together
  • Can't stop looking into this!!
Been investigating the sites and discovered every1 that's registered them but short of a length of pipe I just can't see a way forward.

Really fed up i've been skanked - What can we do??
How have they got away with it for so long??

I'm having the same problems with mayfairglobalevents.com - Another Durban Vienna Company. Carling cup tickets did not show (24/02) and neither has my refund. I've spoken to "Manny Sylvester"(Director) and "Mickey"(accounts) and "James" (I add inverted commas for obvious reasons) but to no avail.
More worrying than this, over £6K has been taken from my bank account as my card has recently been cloned. I have provided Barclays with all a/c history for them to investgate. Barclays were'nt too fussed however. They did noteven ask my name! Does any one have any ideas where I can report any suspicions I may have?? TY

  • Hello all,
My first post here and I'm lead down a long investigative path and searching again for SFT in google brought me here. I've scan-read through a lot of the pages and want to add my 10p's worth.

I manage the ticket system for an event that is listed on SFT and found out they are selling tickets to our event. We have never authorised them to do so, never spoken to them and are convinced they are absolutely not to be trusted - so much so that our tickets page hosts a warning against buying tickets from SFT.

Firstly, they are currently offering our cheaper early bird tickets at twice their original cost and they are no longer on sale (and haven't been for over three months at least). So, theoretically, if someone were stupid enough to buy one (and they are more expensive than the full price tickets still available from our official ticket agents) then SFT would not be able to fulfil the order unless they have already bought some from us.

If they don't have them, they can't buy them from us anyway, and would have to buy full price tickets at £88 (they are offering early birds at £130!!) which already is not the ticket they state as on sale. Of course, what punter cares about this as long as they get on site - but still - dodgy as !!!!!!y!

Our ticket agents deal with tens of thousands of tickets every year, and they are pretty savvy to dodgy looking orders. Our Bristol shop flagged dodgy sales in the past and no-one has noticed strange sales that might suggest a tout has been buying them.

I too checked out their other sites, called their number on many occasions (no answer) to ask them to stop selling or offering tickets to our event. We have a system in place that would render any tickets sold this way invalid anyway - so they really are totally illegitimate with regards the event.

    TOUTS left, right &....

So, now you have it from another angle - an event who's tickets they are selling...

In the words of a famous beatboxing video on youtube.... (search for 'beardyman kitchen' :rotfl: )

    DON'T!
  • Hi All,

I don't usually post on forums etc - but after reading this felt I had to add to the debate. I was almost 'stung' by Summerfestivaltickets.com trying to buy tickets for Reading Festival. With all the usual sites crashing I ended up on this site and managed to get on to buy 4 tickets easy. At that point alarm bells should have been ringing - why were these tickets sold out on all other sites and this one still had plenty - unfortunately it didn't and I continued and paid. Alarm bells then started ringing so I googled the company and came across this and other similar forums and blogs which really made me panic. Luckily I called American Express straight away and canceled the card and flagged this company up with them and then shortly after received an email from https://www.summerfestivaltickets.com saying my card had been declined. Just to test the whole process out I then tried to buy tickets again with completely fake details and made up card number and it still sent me a confirmation so I think that their confirmation email says nothing secure or substantial about them really.

I'm so sorry that you have all had so many problems with this - but thank you for alerting me to this so that I could react in time. It makes me so angry that a company can do this kind of stuff again and again (if what the forums about this site being run by the same people as) and no one is doing anything about it.

I hope you all manage to get your money back - if not from the vendor from your credit card company.

Me and my friend just bought 3 Reading Festival tickets from summerfestivaltickets.com because all the other sites sold out and it said it was secure and we rang them because we were using a debit card, instead of a credit card, and the woman said that it would be fine.

So we ordered them, apparently the money hasn’t gone through yet, but after reading all the post, am so worried now And we can’t cancel the card before 7am tomorrow because the lines aren’t open for Abby!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Help. Really don’t know what to do!!!!

Is it different for debit cards?

Yes, you won't get the guarantee that you get from the credit card as the money comes out straight away with debit. If it were me I'd be on the phone bright and early!

yeah, the money hasn't been transferred so we candled the debit card and getting a new in the next week. so the money is fine.

It's just not fair. I really want to go to Reading Festival :'(
