i ordered tickets from SFT last night and i did get a confirmation e-mail. but my mum did not think it was genuine and phoned up and just like everyone else, we got a guy on the phone who answered "hello". i had to ask what company i was through to and he replied a "Ticket outlet". i got really worried and mum contacted her credit card company to let them no. we phoned SFT again and cancelled the tickets and were told there would be a £35 ccancellation charge. i dont no if they will cancel or not, my mum said we will have to wait and see. they said it will be back in the account next week has anyone ever canceled and got there money back. im really worried now cos im usually very careful what websites i order from. also after asking for a refund over the phone, i checked the confirmation e-mail they had sent and it says that they do not do refunds. what should i do.0

Hi all
Phoebe: I'm sorry to say that you might have a much longer wait to find out if this company is any good. In my experience, V Tickets are not usually sent out until about 3 weeks before the event. I am not sure if this is the same everywhere... but in my many years of going to V - the tickets always get issued around July time.
MoneyWorriesMe: I cancelled my card when I got cold feet about this company, and I was lucky in that I managed to do it before they collected any money. They telephoned me about a week later to ask if i still wanted the tickets. I said no because I wasn't confident that they were a real company. The guy didn't argue or try to give me any confidence whatsoever - just accepted thatI no longer wanted them. Made me feel like there has probably been a lot of people getting worried and cancelling their credit cards. (I am the 3rd person in my own circle of friends alone!!).
CK1986: I'd be really interested to hear how you get on and whether you get any money back. They have a nerve keeping £35 if they can't install any confidence that they are a reliable company!! Good luck with it.
Regards all.....0 -
i shall let u no if they give me my money back. i will never use any sites like this again. they said they specialise in sold out concerts and festivals but how if they are sold out. dont no wat possesed me to even buy them. had to get in touch with the credit card company and they said if they do not refund it they will let us no and we will have to ring them back and ask. then possibly have to get the police involved.0

OK, Folks........Update on previous post. I Have a Name!!! PAM short for Pamela on a 0207 code. Very convicing lady. There must be someone else who've heard something......anything??? I think there is a point as made in a earlier post. MSE are under no obligation to help, contact or do anything involving our posts. So....I suggest WE ALL contact Watchdog. they have site and a complaints email. I have done it already but am willing to do it again as long as we do it as a collective. They probably have lots of single mails coming in but if we all email they might notice a bit more. anyone else think thats a good idea???0

Hi I think thats a great idea!!! I had already emailed Watchdog last week, and emailed Virgin Radio too.. you never know...!!
If Watchdog get lots of emils from people reading this forum hopefully something will get looked into......

Evening all....
To Phoebe, Gemzz Toldoldgit, Moneyworries me & Hello to newbies Tracey & CK....
Sorry for not being around much, but in the mighty words of Max “From Eastenders” ive, been taking care of a little business...
Anyway I’m back & BOY have i got news for you.:_
Out of the blue whilst driving home in the rain on Thursday I received a call from an unknown number on my phone. It was from 0207 5827044, the very polite lady who called me introduced her self as Pam from Summer Festival tickets, & that she was calling as she was very concernec about my aggressive email to her company that she recently received...
It went like this :-
Me ( M): I’m glad you’ve called as I am utterly outraged at the total lack of explanations behind my emailed, & very straight forward questions about my order not to mention the rumours on the web..!
Pam (P): Mr ******* I’m very sorry that you feel this way but let me assure you your tickets are on the way, you CAN have RED camping tickets , although I’m surprised that you have not received our email to you asking you “which” camp site you would like?, however, I am typing it in right now ... THAT.... YOU.... WANT.... RED!.
M: Oh, good, right then... about these rumours...?
P: Ignore them they are just from spiteful customers who are trying to rip us off with their fraudulent cards.
**********************20 mins of idol chitter chatter .......... later****
M: well thanks PAM, that’s really made me much happier & I won’t be cancelling my order. If you can just email your exact words about definitely receiving, IN POST/ BY SPECIAL DELIVERY/ 4 x RED WEEKEND CAMPING TICKETS FOR THIS YEARS V FESTIVAL IN CHELMSFORD... Then that will be fine & 2put to bed “in my opinion.
P: No problems Mr ********** if you have ANY questions or other concerns, Please do not hesitate to call....
After the Easter break. I did Call.... & this is what I got when I wrang that number:-
Operative (O) Hello?( In a Scouse accent)
M: Is that “Tickets 2 be there”??
O : Yeah want do u want?
M: Can I speak to PAM please?
O: NO! He’s not in..!
M: No I said PAM – Pamela... PAM –E –LA???
O: No-er, not here mate Can I help ?
M: No thanks, Goodbye
I rest my case..
Btw I’m digging up that Trading standards Ref number that I was given a while ago... This time it doesn’t STOP....0 -
Hi all, not surprised about responses. Tracey my point is that the fAQ page states that money will not be taken unless the tickets are with them. Clearly that's a fraudulent statement as are the claims for the security on the website. Yes will contact watchdog.0

I'm having the same problems with mayfairglobalevents.com - Another Durban Vienna Company. Carling cup tickets did not show (24/02) and neither has my refund. I've spoken to "Manny Sylvester"(Director) and "Mickey"(accounts) and "James" (I add inverted commas for obvious reasons) but to no avail.
More worrying than this, over £6K has been taken from my bank account as my card has recently been cloned. I have provided Barclays with all a/c history for them to investgate. Barclays were'nt too fussed however. They did noteven ask my name! Does any one have any ideas where I can report any suspicions I may have?? TY0
