i had this for lunch today (green day)

Frylighted some chicken pieces (HEb) - i have used strips of steak before which is nice too - with broccoli, spring onion, ginger, garlic, soy sauce and black pepper, then knocked up some SW friendly egg fried rice. Add cooked rice, peas & diced carrot to a large pan/wok, then frylight in soy sauce and chinese 5spice powder. After a minute or two push rice mix to side of pan and pour a beaten egg in the space thats left. Leave egg to cook for a few seconds. When it starts to thicken scramble it, then when nearly totally scrambled stir the rice back in until the eggy bits are all through the rice. Serve and enjoy!

Another chinesey one is chicken chow mein:

1 flap of dried egg noodles (boil for 4 mins) (sharwoods thai, egg and stir fry noodles are all free, blue dragon rice, egg and chilli noodles are also free. amoy do egg, mung bean and soba noodles which are free and also their straight to wok rice ones are but not any of the other straight to wok ones)
    1 tin of bean sprouts
    Sweetcorn
    Garlic
    Ginger
    Spring onions
    Soy sauce to taste
    Black pepper to taste
    & chicken as healthy b

Dry fry onions (or use fry light) add chicken (if raw), when chicken is cooked add all other ingredients and heat through, serve with noodles.

Think we are having sausage and chicken hot pot tomorrow (red day)

    1 onion
    2 cloves of garlic
    3 carrots
    2 peppers
8 sausages(i use morrisons ones coz they are free, but usually shop at tesco so if anyone knows any free tesco ones let me know)
    4 chicken breasts
    fry light
    2tbsp medium curry powder
    340ml passata
200ml stock made from chicken bovril
    pepper to taste
    handful fresh mixed herbs

    roughly chop onion,carrot,peppers,chicken,sausages,crush garlic
spray pan with fry light, put in onion, garlic, sausages, chicken and curry powder for couple of mins. add carrots, peppers, passata and stock. bring to boil. reduce heat and simmer for approx 15/20 mins. i find the longer the better.

    110g/40z Quark
    1 egg lightly beaten
    pinch of nutmeg
    12 lasagne sheets

    1. Spray a large pan with Fry light and place over high heat. Add Quron, red pepper, courgette, onion, garlic, stir-fry 6-8 mins

    Vanilla Pannacotta
    Serves 4
Syns per serving: Green FREE, Original FREE

    Ingredients:
    200g/7oz Quark
    5tbsp artificial sweetener
    1tsp vanilla extract
    2 x 200g pots Mullerlight vanilla
    1 x 10g sachet gelatine
    1 egg white
    Mint leaves to garnish

    1. Whisk Quark, sweetener, vanilla extract and yogurt in a bowl until smooth
    2. Put 2tbsp hot water in a small heatproof bowl and sprinkle with the gelatine. Stand the bowl in a saucepan of hot water and stir until the gelatine has dissolved. Cool slightly then whisk into the yogurt mixture.
    3. Beat the egg white to soft peaks. Gently fold through the yogurt mixture then spoon into 4 individual moulds. Chill in the fridge 3-4 hours until set.
    4. When ready dip moulds in hot water for a few seconds the unmould onto individual plates. Garnish with mint leaves.

I didn't use the mint leaves, I had some lovely frozen summer fruits in the freezer (from Asda I think) so I thawed some of them out and had them with it. Well worth the effort, it was lovely :T

Hope you enjoy as much as I did!

the vanilla panacotta was yum, thanks!

    Hi everyone

I had my WI last night after my first week on the programme and I lost 5lbs. I was really chuffed! I found it pretty easy to stick to as well. The same again next week would be good but I know that is highly unlikely - I would be happy with 2lb to give me my first half stone!!

    Ali

    That's a fantastic start, Ali:T:T:TWell done you:j:j:j

I seem to remember it used to be free on a red day, but isn't now. The emphasis is on eating lean meat, and corned beef has a lot of fat in it, even if it's not visible:rolleyes:

Morning all, how are you all doing? Good i hope.

Reporting back on the fishcakes i had for tea last night, they were lovely and so filling, i had planed on having 2 with syn free chips and mushy peas, but only ate one as they were very filling.
Didnt take much making either, mash potaoes, cod, spring onions, herbs, then make into cakes, cover in egg and roll in breadcrumbs. Yummy, Only 2.5 syns per cake on a green day (with the cod as a HOb)

Tommorow is my WI so i am on the soda water today and being extra good, iv used almost my full quota of syns each day this week, which i havent in the past few weeks so i am interested to see if i lose weight.
    Fingers crossed for everyone.
    Donna

    will try the fishcakes thanks.

    3. Remove from heat and serve drizzled with low fat natural yogurt and sprinkled with chilli powder, garnished with fresh mint leaves.

think i've definitely got my meal planner sorted for the week now!!
    Morning all

Well, this diet is doing wonders for my liver - I had a couple of drinks last night, and felt awful this morning :o I thought all those syns might have made me put weight on, but weighed myself this morning (hope consultant31 is still away and doesn't see this :D ), and unless it catches up later, think I have got away with it.

Got some lean mince out for dinner, but not sure what to do with it - I have a recipe from someone at my meeting, so might try this :-

    400g lean mince
    1 chopped onion
    400g can of baked beans
    4 tbsp tomato passata
3 tbsp sweet chilli sauce (3.5 syns)
    1 tbsp mixed herbs

    Topping

    675g peeled and cut potatoes
    200g sweetcorn - drained
    3 tbps skimmed milk
    1 tbsp fresh chopped parsley

    Preheat oven to 190 deg
Make topping by boiling potatoes and mashing with sweetcorn, milk & parsley
Fry the mince and onion for 4-6 mins, add beans, passata and chilli sauce. Bring to boil & simmer for 5-7 mins, transfer to ovenproof dish
Top with potato mix & bake for 20 mins

has anyone tried this? is it nice?
