Hi everyone
after a couple of weeks hiding my head in the fridge i am back, went to WI last night and had stayed the same after 2 weeks of pigging out, so thats inspired me to actually get back to it again (perverse but there you go)
DD1 got her club 10 last night so am made up for her, shes a bit disapointed though because she got a sticker but not a certificate..are you supposed to? She loves sticking them on her wardrobe and finds it motivating.
So as long as shes loosing i will keep going as its the first thing that has worked with her, i could try to feed her anything and help her choose wisely before but ulimatly she is a really big eater and loves all the wrong stuff, add that to being very very strong willed and it had been a battle to get her to slow down and think about her body. All these stories about it being child abuse letting your kids ger overweight have made me very consious that i have failed as her mum somewhere.
Sorry needed to get that off my chest (not that i've got much of one now..i loose a stone and it all falls of my boobs and nowhere else..lifes a !!!!!!)0 -
Morning all:hello:
Well I've sts this week and that's good as I've been a bit rubbish. Will make a bit more effort this week as I've not had many fruit and veg and that seems to help.
Welcome to the newbies:hello:, well done to all the losers, and Bringmeshoes, birthdays are there to be celebrated - life is too short _party_
Yes, love to Peachy who keeps us all motivated. She is happy when we lose and encouraging and kind when we don't :kisses3:
have a good day all xx:smileyheagpuss0 -

There is definitely a certificate, ask your consultant next time, i had to ask for my stone award this week, and saw the club 10 in the box too0 -
Hi all
Well I only lost 1/2lb this week, very disappointed as again I have been good apart from the odd glass of wine
Maybe it is the thyroid that is doing it, should get my results next week, so who knows until then, but I will plod on I suppose
Well done to all losers and maintainers.

I think you are being too hard on yourself. You sound like a caring and loving mum to me. Kids have a strong will of their own and you are doing everything you possibly can to help and encourage her and that's all you can do, coco. She is lucky to have a mum like you :A:smileyheagpuss0 -

Keep your chin up, Ness:kisses3:. It's is coming off slowly for some of us but it is coming off and you thyroid could be affecting things. We just have to keep at it. Had a chat with my GP about my weight loss and he reckons slow weight loss is good as you get used to a new way of eating, your body has time to adjust and you are more likely to keep it off in the long run. (Still hoping for an 8lb loss next week though:rolleyes:):smileyheagpuss0
