Cheapest option may be to buy a E250 unlocking clip off ebay. USe it then sell it on. I think they go for £5 or £6 delivered. You could try a local shop who may do it for £5.

I have the T-Mobile MDA 2 which is the same as O2 XDA or the Charmer.

I have tried the link at the start of this thread for unlocking but have been unable to do so.

To get this to work you simply need to download the software (you must register to look at message attachments), copy the software to your phone, and run it

I have just ended a contract with 3 and have just started a monthly sim only deal with o2. As the 3 sim was showing it had ended today i put in the o2 sim. This said it was not operative so I checked with o2 and 3 who both told me the phone would be locked.

3 offered to unlock it for £15 but when i agreed said it would take 15 working days, they also took ages to tell me this on an 0870 number!What other options do i have?

To speed it up I am happy to pay but what are the choices?

This should do the trick if you have the USB cable that comes with most Samsung phones.

You will need to install a J600 USB driver before using the software. Get it from :

nstall USB driver, connect phone to the PC, it will recognise as a USB flash device (I think, can't remember if phone has to be on or off), load up the software, select your model (J600) and the comm port. Click on unlock and hey presto. You may have to remove and reinsert the battery on the phone for it to refresh.

thanks i saw that and got completely confused - clicked the link but it looked as if it just wanted to dl the megaload software or was that the samsung thing itself ?

also would the driver be on the samsung pc studio disc or is it something difference

ok i decided to bite the bullet and br brave and do this - however its now saying windows cannot open the file ....

any advice ?
