    Congratulations.
You will not have much time to advise the rest of us now?

    Harry.
  • There several kinds of people in the world - not all of them are sane.

Doozergirl, congratulations on your purchase. I hope you have many years of enjoyment and good memories.
Tough times never last longer than tough people.
  • congrats! how much did you pay? (no need to be shy, it'll be on the house price website thingy anyway) :-)

I have never seen anything quite so pathetic on this board. :rotfl:

Really? Personally I find gloating about material possessions far more pathetic.

Each to their own though. :money:

180k - the vendor even threw in a free lifeboat and galoshes as well. Bargain!
  • Gosh what a lot of bilious people there are in the world. Can't we for one minute just be happy for someone?
Congratulations Doozergirl - It looks amazing:beer: Enjoy your new home. When do you get the keys?

I'll second that! ....and congratulations for using 'bilious'.... a word I haven't heard for about 30 years. At one time every other person recorded in the sick book at work had had 'a bilious attack.' I was youngish at the time and had never heard the term before, but thought it was very impressive!
  • Wow Doozer looks absolutely fab and an absolute bargain at £180k. :T

When you spot anything similar for a similar price in Surrey please let me know............

    ..........well I can dream:rolleyes:

I'm not a gloater. I'm just me and I'm happy with my lot. I've shared in enough people's happiness on here and not said too much about me I don't think. I've never taken anyone's excitement to be anything but just that. Genuine pleasure. :)

On Wednesday I was really genuinely excited to bursting and I wanted to share it; I'm really grateful to everybody that congratulated me :D And I'm still really excited and I'm still really pleased!

But you know what, you complete pillock? I'm really glad that you think I'm gloating because it must mean you must genuinely think I have something to be pleased about. :T

I am glad you shared it Doozergirl.
I am really happy and pleased for you.

For others: there's no way Doozergirl is a gloater. She's really helpful and a mine of information for people on 2-3 boards around here. Check out her advice and input on the DIY boards apart from this one (where I've noticed she's been absent the last 2-3 weeks, possibly planning this new acquisition).

I'll be interested to see the before/after pictures when you're done.
