Morning All
Bad night but never mind.
Jobs to get through today are:washing and line drying, turkey casarole in slow cooker, DD's bedroom more decorating, our room tidied and hoovered, dishwasher done.
Lunch is breaded cod, mash and peas. Tea is turkey casarole.
Have a lady coming at 9.30 about the cleaning job we advertised in local paper. She seems great but will see, check refs etc. I havent done interviewing for 2 years (good job I used to be a HR manager..lol)but only thing is, I now have no energy and in pain 24/7. I will put on my brave face and be friendly but direct with what I want and dont want etc(they used to hate me at work-but am a nice person...honest  !
Wish me luck

Good luck PP! Sorry to hear that you had a bad night.
I haven't been able to sleep, hence why I'm here at this dreadful hour! I've already done a list for the day of things to do and it's far too long. Yesterday, I achieved NOTHING so I really need a kick up the behind today. I feel a bit down re lack of job and having to move to try to find one. OH doesn't seem to be fully behind it, even though he says he is.
We went round to our friend's house last night for a barbie. Always nice to be cooked for............. even if OH and friend's husband stood round admiring the charcoal!:D
Anyway, I suppose I'd better go back to bed to try to sleep for an hour and properly recharge my batteries before I attack this list of things to do........

Hello everyone,
How did your interviewing go PP? I"ve been in the office much of today catching up with bookwork. Ho Hum - I've been on MSE in between. Thank God deemy doesn't sleep. This site can be so addictive at times hey. MUST stop.
I am having some fritters tonight for tea with the leftover cornmeat. Made an impossible pie last night for dessert but it's all gone so will have icecream and fruit for dessert. Can't think who polished it all off.
Hope you have a nice Thursday.Don't worry about the world coming to an end today. It's already tomorrow in Australia.0 -
Good morning everyone ... you are early birds this morning
Sorry to hear you've had a bad night again Penny-Pincher ... hopefully the interview will go well and you'll have a lovely cleaning lady.
VickyA - hope the batteries are well charged and AussieLass ... what is an impossible pie?
Had a chill out day yesterday ... so have to be a bit more organised today. Daughter's friend is staying over tonight. They are picking up their A level results today, so I think I'll do a little bit of baking for them. They also both like home-made pizza.
Loaf was ready in the breadmaker at 6am - so that is out and cooling on the rack.
Also want to trim the hedge in the back garden now that all the fledglings have flown.Enjoying an MSE OS life0 -
You mean you don't know what a impossible pie is? OMG  that's impossible.
I will post it in the recipes section later on. Very easy & very nice.

Thanks AussieLass

Late night last night as had friends round for a nice OS board games evening. They didn't go till late so I left the washing up and am now regretting that decision this morning - it's all nice and stuck on! Grrr.
Yesterday's left overs for tea tonight so no-effort cooking this evening. Will probably have to work late tonight so have resigned myself to not getting anything else done at home today, but at least it's nearly the weekend.
Have a good day!

Morning My Lovelies :j
How is everyone this bright and some what nippy morning?!
Made a huge chicken and mash creamy bake lastnight. it was bl00dy yummy, with melted cheese on. mmm. Boxed it up for OH to freeze today. Meant to be having Chicken Casserole but im holding my breath as to whether OH remembers to put the stuff in the slowie.
Hes in charge of tidying and washing on a morning when hes on late shifts but hes not doing that good a job ... menadmittedly im far too tired when i get in from work this week to launch a huge assault on it... i think it might be a sunday thing.
Doing some major job hunting today as this job is REALLY crushing my spirits. Been head hunted again from BT and they pay £192 a day but its only on a 3-6 month contract. I told the woman if they really want me, make it a 24 month contract and ill start on monday :rotfl:
Will report back later, tummy is rumbling and my daily toast from the canteen is calling.0 -
