efrieze and victory - I was put on a diet at a very young age too. My mum had 14 year old me look at photos of 12 year old me and my slim belly. Her "diet" consisted of cereal for breakfast, an apple and a yoghurt for lunch and a normal dinner - just smaller portions. Definitely not enough for a 8 1/2 - 9 stone teenager. I'd suppressed the memory for such a long time and it was a huge revalation (sp) when I did remember it. My mum just couldn't accept I was never going to be stick insect thin like here - I'm definitely a curvy girlie. (should change my username to that - if only I knew how!). I'm still dealing with the self image and weight problems that that very first diet caused and I'm 35!

bails - I think your intuitive eating is a brilliant idea. I'm glad to see you're taking such positive steps. Keep us posted on how you're getting on and please don't leave us as you've always got such great advice - shall I take you off the chart ? Or do you want to stay on it for a while longer yet?

suggs Welcome back - glad you've had a good time away.

Well done all losers and maintainers and of course all the new posters -

Not having such a great time diet wise myself at the minute. I've a few home issues to deal with - not with my OH for a change you'll all be glad to hear - or my MiL even. I'm still waiting to get shifted to the new location in work and I can't wait as my perfectionist manager is really starting to get on my nerves and I'm itching for a new challenge (it's either that or go part time, which I can't really afford right now.) I'm still dealing with the fall out from my Mum not wanting us (DS and I that is) over to hers at Easter. Haven't spoken to her in 3 weeks now and I'm becoming accustomed to not phoning her every day. So, all in all I'm starting to feel better. The 2 nights out last week definitely helped. and I think I'm going to re-start my Bob Greene plan tomorrow (Wednesday).

For those of you who didn't know - I'm in charge of the chart for the next 4 weeks. Please keep posting your WI results in bright and bold colours in a large font so that it's easy for me to find.

Good luck those who have yet to weigh in....

By the way, did no-one notice the lovely little link I had to Sasha's best trick (she only does it for liquorice).

For those of you who missed it... it's here...... enjoy.

soooo cute delly! ( thats sasha and the doctor btw) still hoping that the catherine tate stuff is a blind and the new assistant is really the hamster. A girl can hope, can't she?

well deserved 1kg gain this week

which considering that i ate about a kilo of crisps alone is better than could have been expected. been a good girl this week so far though, staying under 10 syns a day. Which is good because I hqve to spend a day recipe testing on thursday. My job doesn't want me to lose weight, i think that s the problem.

Delly, was horrified at your mum putting you on a diet. I'm sure she had the best intenttions but really!

Well, i've got through my first week (had a bit of a slip up with a chinese on Saturday but I managed to reign myself back in) and i'm pleased to report a
    3lb loss :T

Pretty chuffed with myself as i'm not following any plan, just cutting down and watching what I eat more. I've decided to do it this way after trying several diets and having the implorable 'I can't have it so I want it even more, to the point of obsession!' I'm allowing myself the odd treat and more or less eating what I want but less of it. Have cut out all snacks and eating fruit for snacks and making sure that dinner is sensible, home made and fresh (usually was anyway so not much of a change there, just more veg on my plate !)

I have my in-laws here from today and MIL is a superb cake maker so wish me luck for this week ! Will be having a small amount but not 2 servings (like I used to do !).

I'm also having my kitchen ripped out on Monday so heck knows what i'm going to do about cooking ..... low fat microwave meals, here I come :rotfl:

Hope everyone else has a good weigh in this week :D
    :jWeight loss to date 1st 11.5lb :j
