Thankyou, thankyou, thankyou, SO MUCH. Some great advice for me to mull over xxxxxxxx
Starlight, hugs, I think the doctor's advice is great. Raph, sorry about your frustration, have you seen the doctor? Depending on what they say, how about non-weight bearing exercise like swimming to keep you ticking over? You can still cross train in the pool and get a really good workout, or a water circuits class?
Back soon xxx
Bails - it is so typical of you - even in the middle of your own diet crisis you still reach out and help others! We are lucky to have you in this group and other members have given you some excellent advice and suggestions. Follow your heart and do what you honestly feel is right for you!
Be happy now and live to diet another day!

rofl suggs! does she let them soak till they go all mushy?
bails, to find the recipe thread i always go to page 1 of this thread and click through from there. I always mean to look at where it is so i can find it more directly but I never do. I hope you find some inspiration there.
I have some good news today . .. .
I GOT DROPPED FROM THE FASHION SHOW!!!!!!
yay!!!! much relief, that makes my life so much easier. The clothes just looked awful and i would have felt so bad afterwards that only a pizza would have eased the pain. Now i can enjoy my planned meal of flash roasted Nigella style rump steak and tenderstem broccoli without being a big fat heifer.
Can't remember who posted it now, but I'm a big fan of Agnes/Perdita too. I actually wrote a dissertation on Granny Weatherwax whilst at uni - I'm sure Terry would be horrified at anyone taking his work that seriously!0 -

A quick one from me as DS is off at a birthday party and I plan to make the most of the peace and quiet......
bails - I'm glad that you were able to ask here for help and that so many people were kind enough to give you some excellent advice. If you're off work for the next six days or thereabouts, why not relax and enjoy yourself and eat what you like. You'll find that your body will find the balance in itself. For example - around payday I almost always have 3 - 4 days of takeaways as I'm so busy trying to do things/pay people I don't have time to cook. By the end of it my body is ususally screaming  for vegetables:D . Hope you have a great weekend.
starlight - Just one question... are you eating enough? I know that you're following the WW points system and that you've been going to the gym for the past 3 weeks. I also know it's been said that your body could be building muscle instead of losing fat which would explain the STS for the 3rd week in a row..... I was just wondering if you were eating some of the activity points you've been earning? It's entirely possible that now you've upped your activity levels, that your body is holding on to weight thinking it'll need it for later.. Give it a go - it's worth a shot and good luck with a month of not pointing.. I'd be scared out of my wits... (yes I know I haven't pointed a thing in over a month , but I'm still monitoring my eating).

my services available on request:D
Victory-thanks for your lovely comments. Yesterday was one of though days when I had to admit defeat as gracefully as possible and lie inert for hours on end on my bed. Thumb twiddling has its limitations for feeling a useful contributor to life, so if I said anything remotely helpful to anyone, at least the day was not wasted. Eating habits definitely slipping a bit at the mo. Have a bit of a sugar binge, going on, which is unusual for me and finding it quite difficult to keep to plan. Damage limitation so far but we'll see what tomorrow's weigh in says.
Pooh - glad the guilt factor has greatly diminished: that can only help your emotional well being. Delighted the horrid pressuring fashion show is off the menu kpc. Seren, loved what you had to say yesterday and today. Commisserations raph - I can more than sympathise with not being able to do what you want physically. The advice from bails re the swimming pool sounds good -it's what top atheletes do when they have an injury but need to keep fit. Starlight - I agree with pets excellent advice to stay on the chart: we don't want to lose you, just aim for a sts, sort of an honorary member of the maintainers club
Bails - I'm not sure if you might be in Brighton this weekend, but I've just popped the promised map in the post. It's part of a local magazine and I've had to tear out a few pages so the weight of it fitted the stamps I had in the house. Victory - how are you doing now ? Everyone was right you know about the shock & stress catching up with you.You needed to curl up and cry before moving on. It could only have been good for you in the end, bewildering as it felt for you.I try to take one day at a time, but sometimes several days attack me at once0 -
Hi guys,
Blimming work was boring as poo. Broke the fitting room door cos i shut the door and it wasnt meant to be shut. They had to get a crowbar to open it and they did quite a bit of damage to the door frame ha! It was very funny. Should have seen the store managers face as he broke in! ha.
I dont have much to say today for a change. Im just going to tuck into a kinder egg for my mate, jesus and enjoy a cup of tea!
have a good evening folks0 -
Hi Folks
I'll hopefully catch up properly again with you all soon. I am so missing the banter on this thread but you are always on my mind. Hope you are all keeping well.
Can I post a 3 lb loss this week please Grannynise.
God only knows how I managed that, I spent most of last week making caramel shortcake, malteser tray bakes and macaroon and you know what it is like - you constantly have to taste it to make sure it is okayso I don't know how I got a way with a loss, never mind a bit one.
