Pet, everyone's different but I find it better to report if I've gained weight, even if it's a small gain. If I ignore a 1lb gain, I might start ignoring 2lb gains and so on :rotfl:

I am a lot happier with my own interpretation of 'maintaining' which is simply staying below a certain weight/BMI, rather than trying to be the same every week. I am sure you can find a solution that will work for you too :D

I gained 1.5lb and 2.5lbs respectively in the previous two weeks and had GREAT fun doing it!!! This week I am pleased to report I've lost 3.25lb. It is more than six months since I had a loss of over 3lb in one week, and I think that goes to show that a little gain is easily handled. I'm now just under the weight I was a month ago... that's maintaining to me :D

This week I would like to lose another 1lb, as I am building up a little buffer for my holiday week ;)

Sorry for recent silences folks, it's been manic chez me.

I've been and read back and won't get in on most things, just a belated happy birthday to petrichor, my little fishy one. Hope the birfdy equivalent of Santa excelled himself.

KPC you can post as many Nigella pics as you like, anytime ever, as far as I'm concerned lol. See also: Nicola Roberts, Rebecca Hudson, Kate Winslet. :)

Expecting a large gain this week. Friday was a family 21st birthday party with buffet and yesterday was a celebration for something that last happened 30 years ago and probably won't happen again in my lifetime lol... through to the FA Cup semi-final!!

    Well done missy

well done missyg you have found the answer:D I agree, I feel a gain posted is a gain lost, the lunch box diet seems to work for me this week and I am hoping for either a maintain or a loss, will see tomorrow;)

It is very windy here but not as much as they keep saying on the tele, well not so far anyway:rolleyes:

Good luck on the quitting smoking Victory - I quit last summer and it is the best thing I could have done for myself! I promise you that you will feel so much better in yourself within weeks of quitting. I used the EasyWay of Quitting Smoking. Link here:

It was exactly that - very very easy. You read the book at your own pace, smoke all the way through it - and then at the end of it you just don't want to smoke any more! No cravings or mood swings or anything else. It is like you have never smoked. :T
I bought the book at Tesco but I believe it is available almost anywhere.

sounds like reason for celebration ajax!

At my mum's at weekend and she gave me a green and blacks nut and seed bar - she's been eating them because they are healthy. Well, I looked at the ingredients list and it claims that none of the carbs are from sugar despite the fact that the primary ingredient is glucose syrup, shortly followed by honey. As she's diabetic she's decided to stop eating them. I was a bit miffed though, I get really angry when food companies are blamed for obesity and stuff and i feel kind of cheated when i find that someone is being a bit misleading.
