I knew that it would be stupid to keep going!
I'm going to the gym tomorrow morn (gym opens 30 mins after I finish work) so I will see how I do. Feeling a little better now, I think I was just trying to hard after such a long time off.

1.5 litres of veg. soup consumed during voluntary day yesterday - looks v. Gillian McKeith. O/n fasting required for Med. things today, so have been having warm water during night of reading and hearing stormy world outside.
Increased exercise is a no-go at present i.e. not permitted and I am wondering how 3rd attempt to drop PrempakC will affect weight. Does anyone know? It's been necessary for 7 years.
Watched Willie HC again on Sunday and would love to be able to afford to try his range of 'choc as INGREDIENT'.
Good luck to all who weigh in today.

    Hi all,

Need a bit of support please :o

Seem to have been keeping within my points so far this week, but over the weekend wasn't able to eat as healthily as normal and had a lot of carbohydrate. Now I feel sluggish, although yesterday ate well salmon, spinach, other veg and fruit. Can't do any exercise this week as 1) didn't sleep last night so will be back to bed after school run and 2) having steroid injection in hip tonight which, if its anything like the ones I had in my back a few years ago, means that tomorrow I will be laid low - then its WW again on Thursday.

I really don't want to put on or s/s as I feel I've done so well over last 2 weeks and don't want to be demotivated. Its also my birthday next week so thats a meal out then its Easter a few days later and another meal out - I just want to lose weight but seem to have bl**dy obstacles coming at me left, right and centre:eek:

  • Mumoftwins - dodgy hug coming your way :grouphug:

I don't think carbs are necessarily a bad thing, so will keep my fingers crossed for you. You could try drinking lots of water or the hot lemon drink that Victory/BB (sorry can't remember who it is) makes - that might flush some of it out.

But then I could be talking a load of tosh

Good luck with the injection, my doctor was offering me one for my tennis elbow - but I have put up with it for a few months and trips to the osteopath (he's just great). Your hip sounds much more hard to live with though.

I'm sure there will be lots more support coming your way.

Well done dragon :j Marion :j and Mark :j some great losses between you :T ...

...mumoftwins I hope that you do lose some weight this week as a reward for all your hard work, but if you don't please don't feel disheartened not-tagged-smiley-14571.gif, you will get over these obstacles so stick to your WW plan. Good luck with the injection tonight (sounds awful, but I'm a devout coward:o ) EDIT When slimming last year I found that I had better losses if I didn't have many carbs the couple of days prior to WI ...

...Thanks for all the kind words yesterday, it certainly perked me up and I had the best day since before Christmas :j . Just goes to show how sharing your problems can help sort things out in your head :j ...

...have a good day everyone SYL...

    Morning all

Suzy-Qu, oh blimey I can't imagine my son growing up and getting his own car - he's only 9 at the moment but time flies and I'm sure it'll be upon me sooner than I think! :p Well done about getting that fee refunded, MSE results are great :D

Raph how are you feeling today? Glad you were doing better when you last posted.

Eshkie :rotfl: at "slight jaffa cake incident!"

Mumoftwins you can only do what you can do, and if you have a challenging week then work within the boundaries that are thrown at you, and just do your best to make it up on another week. A STS or small gain is nothing to be sniffed at under the circumstances and we have all been there I'm sure. If you are keeping within your points you should be doing OK anyway and you might be surprised come weigh in! I have quite a carby diet myself and I don't think that will ruin things for you. Hope your injection goes OK.

FFM - how are things going with you, looking at your sig we've spent about the same amount this year! I knew I couldn't do £4k but I am hoping it might end up around £6-7k as long as I don't win any more holidays, haha. Made any good savings lately?

Pet great to hear you had a good day on Planet Petrichor!

I am off to Snow + Rock now, it's sad how excited I get about that. Have a good day everyone.

Don't fall into the trap of thinking because weight loss is slower one week than the next its not worth it. It does make it harder to carry on but it is the most realistic way of dealing with it...

The obstacles you describe is just Life. They won't go away when you're slim and trying to maintain and they seem more like chores when you are doing your damn best to stick to plan. You have been good for the last two weeks so that in itself will help your body cope with the odd bad day. Its important not to tarr these obstacles as a bad thing as you need to be able to enjoy them. Over time the eating to moderation and within plan will become second nature so even when you go out for a meal you'll subconciously choose the healthier stuff or really enjoy the naughtier stuff.

In terms of making yourself feel better now...do you have a back garden? or an outside step?

Make a cup of hot lemon or a nice cup of tea and have a sit outside for 5 mins. I know its not the warmest weather but I find having a wander outside when the sun is shiny is really restorative and calming.

dunno if that helps or sound to preachy...
The point is...don't get disheartened because you have fun stuff coming up or have had a few blips....In the bigger picture these are really small...although when you struggle they feel like mountains!!!
