Back again, wasn't good last week, I was having dizzy spells which at first I thought was delayed concussion, but it turns out the cold took hold. MrsSuggs and Son got it towards the end of the week! Thursday anything I ate went straight through me and Friday I had to drag myself to Birmingham for a meeting. The head is fine, just a thin red line were the cut is healing up nicely. Heading to physio today, been getting tingling in my left arm, so hopeful its nothing worse than a trapped nerve. Didnt play rugby at the weekend, I had the kids and it was a long distance away match, which I dont do if I have the kids. On reflection perhaps I should I played rugby, it probably was easier, it can be like having strangers in my house :o

Two weeks till I go to Hong Kong :)

Oh no! Suggs has also had THE COLD 2008 (tm) - nasty isn't it!

Enjoy Hong Kong - I loved it there when I was stationed for 3 months :D

  • 1lb off for me this week please granny I will be needing that 1lb for my WI next week as we went for a chinese meal at the weekend (MIL B'day) and it was 'eat as much as you can' (and I did :o ).

When I got home I had a 'baking day', made some lovely Anzac biscuits, madeira cake and choc and caramel shortcake bars (for the little monkeys' lunch boxes). Unfortunately the choc and caramel shortcake bars are unbelievably scrummy - none have reached the lunch boxes yet and at 250 cals per slice they are very naughty :o

FFM - how are things going with you, looking at your sig we've spent about the same amount this year! I knew I couldn't do £4k but I am hoping it might end up around £6-7k as long as I don't win any more holidays, haha. Made any good savings lately?

    Hi missyg
I've just updated my sig :o , GC was correct, but £4k was a bit behind. At the rate I am going it might end up close to £12k. I didn't really explore my budget at the time but the effect is the same - I don't buy anything without thinking first - very mse.

The trouble with all the homebaking encouraged on the GC challenge though is that I find hm much more tempting than shop bought.

Big hugs Beanie, I know how you feel about the decluttering not happening as fast as you'd like. I've hidden from the Simplify thread for weeks as I haven't been able to find the energy to do anything. Sorry about the gym too, don't let one silly girl put you off though, you're more important.

Some fab advice being offered on here as usual - love the step in the sunshine idea Serendis - and I hope everyone who's struggling feels on form again soon.

Suggs, hugs about the kids, it must be so tough.

lots of love to you all, and well done for sticking at it, however your journey's going xx

ps Missy, Snow and Rock - drool...

  • Beanie, I agree with all the comments so far, it's her problem not yours. You need to be comfortable if you are exercising.

I joined a David Lloyd gym once and it was very 'lycra and leotard', I was very out of place :rotfl: .

The gym I felt most comfortable in was a Top Notch, it was very 'middle aged' please don't take offence if you are young - but there was no posing, everyone seemed to be there for the exercise and classes.

Have a told everyone about my dirty knickers at the gym story? It was embarassing but im over it now :p

Beanie: She was probably jealous of how good you looked! Complain about her to the manager. No need for that, its not like you turned up in a peep hole bra and crutchless knickers is it! (or is it!) :p

Funkey: well done on the loss! You lost my record weight loss there :p

Katiepoppycat: I finished off the last two squares today. Still got two kinder eggs left :p I havent heard about this new kit kat. Im mortified! my fave chocolate bar that is. Have you seen the slab of kit kat? ive only seen it in france and i was going to buy it but it was many hundreds of calories so i resisted! Regarding soup, have you tried consomme type ones? I have a chinese soup with chicken and bits of noodle in. Really low in calorie and everything. Its soo gorgeous.

Victory: Good luck giving up smoking. I take my hat off to anyone who tries. My mother never attempts too, and we only found out today that a close family friend has a blood clot in his heart with alot of water around his heart too. He has been a chain smoker for many years, probably majority of his life, i bet smoking was a big contributor to his condition now. Sorry to be morbid!

Sales start at debenhams next week, lots of stuff going down. I cant believe it. I got rid of LOADS of stuff reserved, and now ive got a bra and a nightie put by. Do i need a bra? no! do i need a nightie? no! Bargains eh! cant resist them.

:T ...nice one Granny! Hey, we're all with you Beanie, don't let the old trout get to you. What does she know anyway? You wear whatever you want if it feels right.

Well, well done to the losses for today. Victory, Claire and FFM :j Good for you!

I'll weigh in tomorrow. Am expecting a gain especially as I've just come home and had some cake and biscuits....... it was calling me from the tin.... but was very nice I must say. But back on track tomorrow for me.

Good luck to all of you who still have to weigh in.
