Quick update - I've had a rotten week dietwise. Wasn't online last night cos I was studying for my interview this morning and ended up having one of the worst days on record.

First - turned up for the interview at the wrong place
Second - didn't get the job and was more disappointed than I thought I'd be
Third - DS fell asleep on the way to my mum's house and I couldn't get him to wake up so he's only in bed about 30 minutes and I'm stressed out
Fourth - didn't get the other job I'd interviewed for last week

Finally - and the cherry on the cake - I came home to find I've been summonsed to start jury service on 9th April. I'd never win the flipping lotto but am always picked for the stupid bloody stuff like this.

So, takeaway for dinner and copious amounts of chocolate and I'm still not feeling too happy. (feeling quite sick actually)

Oh - by the way, my washing machine did give up the ghost, my mum's been doing my washing for me but doesn't seem to be as picky about separating the whites from the other stuff as I am, and most things are now a uniform shade of grey, so when we finally get it replaced I'm going to have to do the obsessive housewife/whites thing..... bah!

delly sorry to hear of your day, I hope today is better day for you all round:D

Mine is going to be a shopping day as H has gone off on his bike and we had a huge barny, he loves to spend money on petrol etc I don't want him to spend it, upcome...he does whatever he wants, might as well save my breath:rotfl: :rotfl:

Going to make the celeriac, swede, carrot, turnip mash with WW gravy, my new comfort food as I refuse to resort to what I used to eat just because he has annoyed me;) :D I now can be hugely annoyed and slim at the same time:rotfl: :rotfl: :D

Hi Delly, no it is missing on my computer too so it has got us all wondering what it looked like. lol What a horrible day you had yesterday. Not surprised you wanted to eat something. Still today is a new day and I do hope it is a better one for you and that something nice happens to brighten it up for you.

Kymrob, well done to you on your loss. That cleaning you do must be good exercise. I'm spending my day today cleaning at home, so I'll think of the exercise while I do it. :D

Victory, hope your day gets better too. Are you just ordinary food shopping or do you have something a little more special in mind?

Brighton Belle, sorry to hear about the chemodrug. I hope it helps your psoriatic arthritis though. Shame there isn't something else you could take with less side effects. Thinking of you.

Welcome to ampersand and all the other new people. Welcome, welcome welcome!

Well, I am going to spend my day cleaning, as I said, and I also need to make a large hamper for my in laws who are celebrating their golden wedding anniversary next week. I've bought them tea, coffee, maltersers (Poundland) and then from M & S (they love their food) biscuits for cheese, bread sticks, jam, marmalade, chutney, mustard and 2 packets of biscuits and then I'm making up the hamper and sticking a gold bow on top.

Have a lovely day evryone! x

I can't see it either , Delly. Was it VERY rude? (says Granny hopefully)

Victory have you posted the recipe for the mash and gravy? Or is it a make it up as you go along sort of thing? It sound like real comfort food and free for us SW peeps on a green day too.

Mr GN and I are going out after lunch, first to Tate Modern for an exhibition, the to the opera (Oh stop groaning!). The difficult bit of the day is eating between the two. It's too cold to take a picnic and eat outside, they don't exactly encourage you to take your own picnic to the Coliseum, and it' sreally hard in central London to find quick cheap food that fits in with what I want to eat. Suggestions anyone?

D'you know, I don't think it really was very rude. It was just a cartoon of a boy with a slice of birthday cake and a candle on his rear. Wonder if I can pm it? Might give it a go... check your in box girls in a wee while.
