Just read Gok's book how to look good naked not worth the £14.99 it would have cost if I had bought it rather than borrowed it but it has some handy tips on how to dress and how important underwear is first and then the clothes and how 80% of women wear the incorrect size bra....(trinny and suzanna did the same book:rotfl: )

The other 2 books I have started reading is the self help guide of overcoming panic and the same but overcoming anxiety, reading them is making me very panicky, anxious:rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: nothing I HAVE not read before, the usual write everything down, find the root cause, confront your fears, etc etc, another 2 books that have the same thing in them

I was a Home Ec teacher so I know all about healthy eating. Can anyone help me to lose some more weight please, as I know I am going backwards at the moment?
Pooh, I can only tell you of my own experience. I was on a drug for several years a side effect of which was it greatly increased my appetite so I would feel hungry within half an hour of a big meal. And I mean really hungry, with all the attendant feelings of weakness, and lack of concentration. Not suprising ly I put on 2 stone and couldn't see how I would ever lose the weight. That's when I discovered Slimming World and to my astonishment, this eating plan combated the hunger. Because I could eat so much on it, I never went hungry and yet the weight came off. I did stick to the plan rigidly and that's why I can't prasie it highly enough. I lost all the 2 stone I had put on while still on the drugs, and then (coincidently) came off them and lost an extra half stone. Being on these sort of drugs is very tough - the hunger isn't the sort you can combat with mind over matter thinking in my experience. I would just feel to lousy for want of food to function properly. Bails and pet: thanks for suggestions re loss of post functions. I had already emailed technical and got an automatic responce explaining (quite rightly) that as we don't pay to use the forum, they just can't offer a customer service, as they get 1000's of emails a day. I always close my laptop down every night pet. I think I've had a Macaffee update that has screwed by browser(whatever that means) becasue I am now having trouble logging into ebay. Don't know what I can do about it:(Pet, my credit card and house deeds are in the post:) I would like the trip to include a cruise up the Norweigian Ffords and the aurora borealis please I don't want to go anywhere with large spiders...And finally HAPPY BIRTHDAY PETRICHOR. Sorry I can't do an all singing, all dancing smilie in flashing lights!
I try to take one day at a time, but sometimes several days attack me at once

Thanks for that BB. I know exactly what the uncontrollable hunger you describe feels like. My sons were just eating some sweets and I know I don't even like them but I scrounged a couple from them. It is really getting me down. I haven't tried Slimming World as I am on a tight budget but maybe I should look into it as my health is really beginning to suffer. I have always had low blood pressure but now it is creeping up and I now think that some of the pain I experience is being exacerbated by the extra weight I am now carrying. I remember someone mentioning an on line group, I will have a look to see how much it costs.

hi ampersand! welcome back poohbear - I have pm'd you about sw online. I can only echo what bb says - you get great results if you stick to it. I find it a bit 'all or nothing' though - if you go offpiste you will gain. However, I have no excuse at all for going offpiste because there is always something you can eat.

Blackpool trip has been cancelled thanks to gales and snow. Probably going over to mum's anyway though - I'll have seen her twice this week, yay!

Pooh, if you can find the money, perhaps just plan to go for a week or two - in the first session you get a one to one explanation of the plan that is good to have and 'the book'. After that, if money is tight you could just use us for questions and support (and there is a SW support thread around on the forum too where people who don't go to meetings ask a lot of questions of those more experience. Haven't gone there myself as I went to meetings and am very happy with the peeps on here.)

As so often, thought I was in bed long ago, but turn out to still be doing ms bits in various places.
What a good start  - I've spent most of a mostly static day on other things, but HAVE drunk lots of water(warm goes down MUCH more easily)and will look at WW p/w completion demain. My budget is very tiny, too - and this fee will be a strain, but that - in turn - will probably compel my adherence.
Thankyou all for the lovely welcome and promise of support, which I know I'll be tapping into.
    Hasn't mot done well?

    Bonjour all -
Have spent last 4 hours flit-reading WW Littericher(read that as you wish) while I consumed 2 oranges(normal), 2 black teas(normal),150gms low fat yog+stewed apple+oats+sultanas(normal or similar)and have confusedly tried to be accurate with Tracker sheet - many alterations.
    Total mess.
Looks like 20pts daily for me, but using only core foods.(would never buy special/WW anything, doesn't appeal, couldn't afford it, always look for reductions, have always eaten healthily, visit Mr T late night mid-week for wondrous finds)

I am, however, very;) interested ;) in mot's recipe for WW Choc. Fudge icecream.

Trial home weigh(apx. 75kg)before 1st mtg became, officially - dare I post it?
