3.5 lb off this week Delly please. so that's the holiday gain gone ... now just have to get rid of the 2lb pre-holiday gain and I'm back on track.

Sending more hugs especially to Victory and Tagz but plenty here for anyone else who's needing them.

KPC -- I think you should send us all a list of your planned appearances, I'd love to see a fellow MSEer chased by a dragon. I'd even let you hide behind me!

    Hi Guys

Quickly logging on to report a half a pound loss this week - oh so slowly going in the right direction!

I've a few pages to catch up on this evening, but in the meantime, well done to the losers!

Hey Serendisglair, you always come on here and make a cracking load of sense but we never get to hear how you're doing. How's the job etc going? All good in Le Willows? :D

    Hehe, cheers bails.

Life a la seren is the usual hectic mess. I'm good at dishing out the advice but tend to ignore it when its appicable to me.

I just started focussing on stuff again yesterday. A bit of a connundrum really...I can't follow diets (tried slimming world with some success but find myself wanting more than 2 healthy eating B's). Besdies I want to lose weight in a way where it doesn't mean a vast change when I get to a weight I'm comfy with if you see what I eman. so this week I'm eating what I want but with a few rules...such as a limit on snacking in the day....only one biscuit in the afternoon. My lunches have skimmed down as well...a nice sandwich and an apple is more than enough for me.
The trouble is I think I have an extremely stable body....I do more exercise than I used to and my eating hasn't changed drastically (a few more biscuits might sneak in but overall not a vast amount) and yet there is no change. I am definitely fitter though...can make it through an aerobics class without wanting to die.

I had a little bit of a wake up call last week when someone offered me some...erm...alternative therapy,..to try and rev up the metabolism (perfectly legal btw...)...but tis soemthing I can't quite bring myself to consider unless I've given it my all....

The job is stressful but its employment...the curse of working at a uni is perpetual short term contracts.....

So all in all bails (I'm sure you wished you never asked!) life is good and trundling on...I tend to lurk a lot but everynow and then I spot a post i ABSOLUTELY have to reply to and log in....I tend to thank people making sensible comments as well. (whihc is why you and BB get loads of thanks from me :p) Its far to easy to let the diet mentality take over and as vic has prooved not so easy to overcome it (but she's done it :j)

    Morning you beautiful peeps

Congrats on losses FFM (that 2lb gain soon went!), Ajax, Anic, Tagz, Grannynise (yay another holiday gain dealt with in a single week!), Es-six! What a bunch of losers ;) Good luck with yours Wendy.

Delly/BB you're tempting me with talk of those kitchen things! I don't have any effort-saver-thingies in the kitchen whatsoever but maybe when I have my new kitchen I'll get a couple of things. I might be asking the thread for suggestions at some point :p

Raph, I'm sure you'll find your outdoor pace in no time, it's really great to hear about your progress with the running. I'll look forward to hearing how it goes with the club.

BB wise words there from Dr Smith! I can well believe it. It's great to have a whole team of 'mentors' :D

Hello Mumma2one well done on the loss so far and you're already well on the way to the rest :)

Victory & Delly, re: the water with lemon juice, I'm going to ask a really newbie question but how much lemon juice do you add and do you squeeze real lemons or will the bottled lemon juice do? :o I've been doing the latter since last week but only a few drops.

All's going well with my plan this week, though I know it's only 2 days in! I always seem to do better when I'm consciously trying to lose weight rather than maintain - is anyone else like that?

Not lemon juice missyg I use a slice of lemon cut from the fridge where it is in a sandwich bag so it does not dry out.:D
