I feel the same missyg:rolleyes: I really lost the plot yesterday with the pain but it is here today and I am working around it, not prepared to sit and pain, I am going to work and pain, cooking the paella for later and really looking forward to it, going to buy one of the choppers thanks delly, bails:D would never have thought of that and I have a food processer that the onion could have gone into but never thought of it, just looked at the conventional knife way of doing it:rolleyes:
Am extremely angry and tightly wound today and OH is getting it just for speaking:rotfl: :rotfl: eldest son noticed last night it would not be a good idea to ask why I had not made him any dinner after football training (he put a chicken pie in all on his own:T ) didn't get it until 9.45pm because he put it on the wrong setting and it was cooking slower than a slow cooker:rotfl: :rotfl:
Friday appointment with RA consultant at 3.15pm will not be coming off the tablets, will ask to increase them and she can see the inflammation for herself.
I can't hoover so have taken to picking bits off the carpet with my fingers, that will do for hoovering, now what else can I get around?:rotfl:0 -
a 2lb loss for me please delly since last week's chart. (But a 3 lb loss since mid week wi last sat that finally galvanised me). Really chuffed. It has taken a bit of effort - I've eaten well as usual on SW but it's the extra flapjacks, ice cream for pud, and licking out the cake mix bowl sort of stuff that I've had to force myself to stop. I've hung Saturday's dress on the sitting room door and OH is very helpful at pointing at it every time I whimper for one of the above:rotfl: . Because I lost my last bit of weight to reach target while I was a very poorly peep in the new year I have never felt convinced that 'I' got to my final target weight by SW alone (though did lose 4/5th with SW). However, if I can lose an extra 1 or 2 lbs in the next week, I shall know I truely can do this if I strictly follow the SW plan and max on 6ish syns a day.
Loads of peeps to respond to this morning, hope I can remember everyone.
Missyg - I would say a fit young thing like you doesn't need labour saving gadgets (how many creep points for that one:D ) but of course the quicker house worky stuff gets done the quicker you can be outside doing something more interesting. Kitchen gadgets I wouldn't be without (I know you haven't got your new kitchen yet): Lean mean grilling machine;electronic scales;slow cooker(spiced chicken already in for tonight);chopping whizzy thing; food mixer.
kpc - I was wondering why you weren't around -I'd forgotten the gingerbeer incident. A bit gutted you are being monitored becasue it's great having you around: get saving girlie for your own laptop! And yes squash is free on red days. And I second granny - let us know where you are planing to be next tiime a plastic dragon has the hots for you.
Petrichor - I missed you too. I hope the days haven't been too bad for you but suspect they have. Look foreward very much to you feeling well enough to join in. I'm sure you are around though to read this xx.
Yes delly, I had seen your new sig that prompted my question. On the SW front - plenty of veggies do SW: ajax did. You can do all green days if you want, meat isn't obligatory. Thats what I love about SW, it is so flexible, you can eat the way that suits you.
Fantastic granny - another holiday gain demolished in one week. Great that your focus is back after your preholiday wobble: all a normal part of the journey I think. It's amazing the difference this forum has isn't it, especially as our w.i.'s are all down to being honest with ourselves.
Beanie - fab shoes AND another 1lb off!!!.
Raph - it's great to hear of your progress re the running. I'm sure that joining the group will lift you to a whole new level of fitness and confidence. I love it when peeps stick around long term: it's so rewarding to share all your sucesses, especially when we've been part of the not so good times either.
Tagz,anic,ajax,ess-six:j :j .
Big welcome to gettingslimmer: you've done really well. Looking forward to getting to know you, hearing your tips and hopefully some wise peeps on here can help you leap off the plateau and reach goal.
Thanks seren. Good to get an update from you -bails was spot on yesterday.
I try to take one day at a time, but sometimes several days attack me at once0 -
Woo BB, I'm so pleased for you about the fab loss, I know you'd been getting a bit concerned lately. That little bit of extra effort seems to have made all the difference! I hope I can get a similarly great result next Monday, you've set the benchmark now!
Oooh at least 10 creep points for calling me "young"You're right of course, I don't need anything as I have managed fine up until now without. I was just thinking of getting 1 or 2 things, but I might also decide it's pointless, it's not like I feel chained to the kitchen by doing things manually. We'll see!
Lunch today is a jacket potato with bolognese topping :j Yummy.
I want to go out on my bike but I'm being a wuss and waiting to see if the rain stops :rotfl: It's supposed to brighten up later.0 -
I'm reporting a STS this week please. I'm not entirely sure why though. I had more syns at the weekend but I thought I hadn't used that much through the week. Obviously not
.
Victory and Tagz, I'm sorry for how you're both feeling at the moment. I don't know what else to add to what everyone else has said. Victory, I really hope you start to feel better soon. I can't imagine what it must be like to be in your situation. I have one of those chopper things and its a godsend although its the blender bit I use most for soups and things. For chopping I have a thing with zig zag blades and a handle at the top which you bash down. It's particularly useful for chopping garlic and chilli. I'm not sure if it would be any use to you though with the bashing motion - would you be able to do that? Its great for frustration!
Tagz I would think about confiding in your husband about how frightened you are. You need support and he is the closest person to give it to you. If you don't want to though you know that you will get loads of support and best wishes on here. We're all here for you.
Well done to all the losers. To the gainers and maintainers- there's always next week. I'm trying to have next to no syns at all:D
Claire xThanks to all who post competitions!!0 -
Thanks missyg. I forgot to respond to you the otherday when you said you had decided to up your BMI to 21. This sounds sensible - you've tried it lower and the struggle to maintain that shows it's not your natural level so I'm glad you have upped it. 21 is a very respectable bmi and internally you must also be very healthy with the exercise you do.
Victory: hoovering??? Now I know you are bonkers:rotfl: . I know keeping house well is very important to you but:eek:. Great to hear your son fended for himself for dinner and hopeful has now learnt a bit about the oven switch/temperatures:rotfl: . Excellent life skills.
I'm having a final of 4 sessions of hypnotherapy today - a desperate attempt to improve the quality of my sleep. I can't say it has definitely helped, but there are some nights when I think it may have done. Normally I like results to be a bit more definite to say something 'alternative' did help for sure. But the sessions themselves are certainly very relaxing. I don't regret giving it ago.I try to take one day at a time, but sometimes several days attack me at once0 -

I was worried about getting on the scales today as I went out for lunch yesterday and had steak and kidney pie and chips! But I have still
lost 1lb.I think I will follow Bb and try to keep to 6 syns a day. I had 22 yesterday, I need to keep the syns low as I don't get much exercise at present, I am hoping for some warm weather and an end to this flare up. I have tried hypnotherapy too to help me sleep and now I find I sleep better but I am still taking an old antidepressant for the pain and it does help me get off to sleep. When I wake in the night I use EFT now too. I do hope the hypnotherapy helps you.
Well done everyone on your losses and maintains.business mortgage £0))''(+ Barclay's business kitchen loan £0=Total paid off was £96105 PPI claimed and received £13527

Morning all,
Congratulations to all losers and maintainers.
I have a question - I can't get to SW tonight, so if can I weigh myself on home scales and post that as a result do you think, (they are usually within 1/2lb of the SW scales)??????
