Just found this thread, I started Slim Fast last week and lost 3lbs already! I have another 14lb to lose.
The links in the first post are brilliant, thanks for posting them, I wondered what my BMR was. :)
Hey, mumma2one - thanks to bails prompting our collective memory, sorry you have been uncharacteristically over looked. Welcome to our friendly caring forum. Great to hear the links in post one were so helpful. Join in when ever you feel like it and as bails said, tell us about yourself.

Well well well, you lot can natter. I've only been gone for a day, and three pages!!!

OK, so 80 % of it: lol at the banter

20% of it: I really wish I could do something to help you both victory and tagz. To be honest it feels a bit rubbish knowing that the best I can do is hope for you both. All the best to you xxx

Delly: Not that it matters a lot, but a 1lb loss please x

    How's your week going delly?

Not too bad at the minute - still playing around with the SW idea to be honest, but I'm not completely sure I can do it. Not much of a meat eater but not much of a quorn eater either but I'm certain that I need to get to a class but not sure if WW is the one for me (too lenient I feel).

I'm sure you've seen that I've updated my sig. Disasterous few weeks but all 10 of DS's easter eggs are now gone, I've stopped taking the reductil for personal reasons but I've regained my motivation. Had a much better day diet wise than any other day in the past 4 weeks and I firmly believe it was following Victory's idea for hot water and lemon juice first thing in the morning.

One or two little temptations coming up - currently in the middle of 6 weeks jury service and hanging around waiting for the court to decide if they need a jury or not when the biscuit tin is so handy is difficult to say the least and TOTM at the end of the week means that I'm too tired for exercise.... anyway, I've seen my clothes starting to get tight again and I'm determined not to slide backwards.

Hope alls well with all you guys - the chart may be a little late this week as I'm picking OH up after work..

Well done all you losers and maintainers - keep up the good work and good advice.
Goal for 09: Get fit and foxy. target weight 11st. 5/80.
Get out of dead end job and work for career I always wanted.

hi all, i can't get up to speed with the thread - just too many posts. now got a new laptop which is good, but found out that i'm being monitored which i'm quite p'd off about as i've been good as gold for months! so i'll be around rather less from now on. Need to save and invest in own laptop then i can leave the work one in the office and they can whistle for me working int he evenings if thats how they are going to be. had a v cold weekend at wrest park being chased around by a plastic dragon. it was only after i got there that i realised how close it was to milton keynes and i think a few of you peeps are round there aren't you? made a buttenut squash and pork soup from a medieval recipe which was lovely. must check if squash is free on red!
  • Hello all
I just joined this site today. I read the first few pages of this thread but it's so huge! Loved the before and after pics of the OP. Apologies in advance if I'm breeching ettiquette or anything!

I have lost a little over 20lbs in 7 months with the help of Burn the Fat, Feed the Muscle and SparkPeople. My user ID on there is MCCURDY63 so if you're a fellow Sparker, come and say hi on my page. I have 5lbs left to get to my goal weight and I've been on a plateau now for 7 or 8 weeks, which is very frustrating.

If you're not a Sparker, have a look at the site. It's completely free to use and has lots of useful tools and articles to help you lose weight/get healthy.

I'm looking forward to reading more of this thread and getting (and giving) some tips!
