Victory you can only do your best hon, so today is a write off but it doesn't mean you are no use to your sons. Last week (or was it the week before) you were taking them to the park etc and some unfortunate kids don't have that at all, even in small doses. I bet yours wouldn't swap you for the world.
Is there any kind of professional home help you can get for days like this? We have a local voluntary care group, maybe there's something like that in your area?0 -
:grouphug:big hug for you victory!!0

Thanks peeps:D I am not the kind of person that likes to ask for anything, that is why sometimes I get myself into a pickle of my own doing, kids should be kids and left alone, the hardships of life come later on:rolleyes: my eldest if you ask him something he says 'I get treated like a slave in this house, why are you asking me to do it? Get someone else to do it, it is always me':D however much I try to not make it him sometimes it has to be:rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:
I am going to look into day care as you said, probably don't qualify but ask and they can say no:D I personally on a day like this would like to be admitted to hospital and put on a morphine drip but hey that is not allowed either or maybe knocked out until the pain goes:D
You will alll be pleased to know the onion is peeled:rotfl: :rotfl: how? Well with the electric knife that is normally used to cut up the meat on a roast day of course:rotfl: it may not be diced but it is chopped:rotfl: an onion is not going to drag me down:D0 -
victory as a spokesman for your son's I can speak from experiance, my lovely mum was disabled for many years ,and my brother and I never thought what she couldn't do for us ,she was there , she was our mum and we loved her 'and though we didn't want her in pain , we would not want to be without her we would rather have a mum in a wheelchair than no mum at all. She was always there to listen advise and love us and thats all kids need.focus on that, you will get thru today and things will get better. hugs xxxl:T Never Too Old to learn :T0

victory another quick note I always got the same answer from my kids when asked to do something [its always me ]thats just part of growing up you think its your condition but think you would get that however able bodied you are ,children should learn to help , "one day their wives will thank you "l:T Never Too Old to learn :T0

Thanks Wendy for both answers, I know the kids would like me to be more able but they live with it:D kids are happy, adaptable and have loads of friends, well settled everyone says they are good kids just feel sorry for me, them, my pain, their lack of a joyous mum:rolleyes:0

For days when your're having problems chopping - why not get one of these
I use mine all the time and there's very little wrong with my hands - I just don't like smelling of onions (and saves trips to A&E at certain times of the month too!)
tagz - Just wanted to add that my thoughts are with you too. We're all here for you.Goal for 09: Get fit and foxy. target weight 11st. 5/80.Get out of dead end job and work for career I always wanted.0 -
Tagz and Victory, big hugs to both of you. :grouphug:
Victory, don't fret about the type of Mum you want to be for your boys - you are the only Mum they have and I bet they wouldn't want to swap you for another. I hope your pain goes away soon.
