Wendy I do a waist measurement as well as weighing in every week, sometimes when one stays the same there is a loss on the other one! (Or sometimes it's a double gain... haha). Even if both of them are the same, if you're exercising that can only be good for you.

Been out for an hour on the bikes this afternoon :D

Well done to all of you this week, whatever the scales say :D

Thanks for the update Serendis, it's nice to hear how you're doing. Welcome back Efrieze. I love how quickly everyone 'gets' Ajax and Suggs on here :rotfl:

Sorry can't post more now, just back from meeting my 2nd MSEr and need a rest. Still reading everything though. Particularly liked the article you posted BB, this group is invaluable. KPC, Tewkesbury is the closest to me I think, might try and get there if I'm about over the summer, be good to see you. Haven't forgotten about the meet either peeps, still waiting on my school but think I need to get the process started in the meantime. Thanks for the link KPC, not sure I can get there though ;)

Love to everyone, and a special wave to Pet xx

I try to take one day at a time, but sometimes several days attack me at once

Congrats on losses FFM (that 2lb gain soon went!),

Missyg, thanks, but the 2lb gain went last week, unfortunately this was an extra 2lb loss :o . STS is being a bit elusive.

    FFM :)

  • hello! im keeping up the walking - almost every day and on monday i went to glasgow for a change - 16000 steps! maybe even more if my pedometer hadn't reset itself! last night i did the 10'000 steps and then did 30 mins weights and my yogalates! i refuse to buy more clothes til i get rid of this monster thats clinging to me! (ok i mite be slightly in denial there) but keeping spirits up and trying to be out and about walking as much as possible.

ps, i found little stars mini jelly pots in tesco and they're great - half price at the moment too and only 38 cals each!

Sorry FFM. Well done though, better under than over! I'm hoping to get 2lb off this week.

Fab exercise there PPP :) Must dig my pedometer out, I used it to measure the school walk once and then never used it again :o

I'm now going to see about getting booked on an indoor climbing taster course (my son and myself) - has anyone done this? Bails I bet you have?
  • thanks missyg, mine is kinda huge though as its a personal alarm as well but it comes in handy. i wore it just about the house one day too and worked out that (on a relatively easy day) thats another 50 - 100 steps.

was gonna weigh myself this morning but chickened out (luckily dont have scales at home so have to go to my sisters) i think i will stick to a monthly review as i did last year. otherwise i will get too obsessed with it.

i am sleeping like a baby after this excersise too!

  • oh yeah and i have been refusing to go home until ive done 10000! much easier when weather is nice. only usually in summer the best place for a walk is along the waterfront which has a lovely icecream shop at one end!

Delly: Not that it matters a lot, but a 1lb loss please x

Ajax - just noticed this post as I was filling in the chart - why would it not matter? - 1 lb off is still a loss.

missyg - I too have a slice of lemon in a cup of hot water but I believe a few drops of bottled lemon juice would be just as good. For me it's mentally marking a positive start to the day.... Day 2 by the way and I'm doing well.

Ok, I'm going off to walk the dog in a while - any more updates for the chart? Still waiting to hear from cuffie, Gpuk and Lexilex

By the way, if any new posters would like to join in our monthly challenge and have a person to "report" to when you gain please let me know and I'll add you on.
Goal for 09: Get fit and foxy. target weight 11st. 5/80.
Get out of dead end job and work for career I always wanted.
