    Hi

    Can I join in please??

I really want to lose weight and get back in shape after having my twin daughters (as they are almost 5 years old, there really is no excuse!!!!).

I was running a couple of times a week, but have lapsed (not sure why) and I am now out of a routine and have put an extra stone on. Its really annoying, especially after I worked so hard to lose it. I have about 2 stone to lose in total. There, said it. Worst bit over!!

Do I have to let 'someone' know my weight loss each week?

    Donna
Hey Donna, big welcomes:T : this is a great forum for friendly support. Join in as often as you can for maximum benifit - we look forward to getting to know you. It really helps focus the mind being part of this forum, as many recent newbies can vouch for, as well as some of us who have been around for a while. We have a chart that is posted every wed evening - the aim being to lose 5lb a month. Post your weekly weight loss, if you want to(or sts, or occasional gain:o ) on what ever day you choose to regularly weigh yourself. Post nice and bold like this so the chart keeper can spot it easily and log it for her wed chart update.
A number here are into exercise in all forms, and we are using all differnt types of food monitoring, from ww/sw to calorie counting and or portion control and just plain old healthy eating. Sound good that you like running and it works for you.
Raph.I know how you feel re 2 gains in a week - I do not have high hopes for tomorrow. You are very welcome to have theived my smilie :rotfl: - it is a good un. Sounds like your new approach will help re focus you. Smaller plates are a very good idea.
A very bouncy bails todaybounce.gif: I am also agog to find out the cunning plan. Glad peeps liuke the index card idea - all credit to Mr BB for that one:D
I try to take one day at a time, but sometimes several days attack me at once

Good evening everyone. To the recent (and not so recent newbies) I totally agree that sticking with this thread and the support everyone gives (through good times and bad) is invaluable. So oftern we feel alone on the weight-loss/fitness journey and having a group of people who really care and understand is very encouraging. It gives me (for example) the courage to face up to my gains and refocus on losing the excesses again. I have pretty much stayed the same weight for the last 4 months (with quite large variations - but that's just me) which I have never successfully done before. Stick with us...

On a very positive note, I am on holiday (albeit staying with relatives abroad) and I have been VERY good with my food in the last two days and have just completed 35 mins (4km) on the treadmill. I am really pleased with that effort here.

    yay losers!

reporting a 0.4kg gain this week. I know exactly where it came from too. Had a bit of a wake up call filling in my sig - I started again in Dec and have gained over 4kg since then. So, time to focus. Like Raph, I'm going to put my new terms here so I can't pretend they aren't there . . .

    1 exercise class a week
1.5l water a day EVERY DAY
    5 a day EVERY DAY
    1 HEA only
    10 syns max
    Complete food diary every day

I did my first exercise class last night which was weird - it involved bouncing on little trampolines to do aerobics. Quite tiring! Can't remember who asked, but a FED major means an event run by an umbrella group (Federation of the Wars of the Roses) which means lots of people and possibly ponies.

For those who are worried Ajax seems to be fine. He's having some quiet moments to himself whilst he thinks about Bails being bouncy.

Hi everyone some good losses this week for peeps, well done victory, I have had a week off work this week with ds but unlike you I have done slow shopping and taking ds out (usually a mcdonalds involved):o I have been tempted ALOT but haven't gone too overboard, nevertheless I am reporting a 1lb GAIN this week - can't be too dissappointed and I know why it is (bbq beef disco's)!!!

Anyway i'm back to work today so I have had a nice brekkie and have packed a nice healthy lunch too so i'm calling this day 1!!!

Good luck to everyone yet to weigh!

I was going to take ajax but it's a no pets site. So left the ajax flap open and plenty of water. They've no sense of time you know - they don;'t realise how long you're gone for.

.........yeah Wendy, KPCs flap's always open for ajax.;) It's all about the apostrophe :)

Suggster, good luck with your marathon application old son. I'm extremely proud of you for applying. I'm sure uou didn't foresee that application three years ago, that's some journey.

Delly, hope you saw my request for a return to the chart? It's a 1lb loss since I fell off it.

Uh huh... bouncy bails... uh huh.

Well, just weighed myself and I'm a little confused. The scales said 133, a loss of 5 pounds  . Not sure whether the scales are dodgy as I really havent been that good at all  Gonna check it again in a bit because I'm sure that can't be right. Shall update again later.
