MissyG just read your signature. WOW What I would give to be a size 10 again let alone an 8! Thinking about it 14 seems a distant memory! As my kids would say - Respect!
    I would if I could but I can't so I won't!

Actually looked through some of the other signatures. Whey hey! You lot are real losers - in the best sense possible! I hope I will be adding my weight loss to my signature soon (one lb at a time!).

Aw Tagz thank you :D! It's my first time ever in my adult life being this slim and I love it. You're right about the others though some absolutely AMAZING losses - a few people here have lost more than my body weight!!! They are true stars, as well as those coping with all sorts of medical issues - all humbling compared to my rather average 3 stone loss!

EDIT: Oh I've got a MSE medal! I don't think that was there earlier!

I'll be alright thanks bails - my bro & his wife bought a little cruising boat on Saturday and it just got me in the emotional solar plexus. I used to sail a lot and always dreamed of having a little boat, but my health has pretty well put paid to that and I was jogging along thinking I was ok about that and then bam! Someone close to gets to live your dream and it takes a while to process that one.
Good to hear from you Efrieze, have a lovely holiday: sounds like it came just in time.
Tagz - yes there are some amazing losses, and nearly all a lb or 2 at a time: stick with us and 6 months will soon fly by and you'll be a lot fitter and healthier if you lost a magnificent 1lb at a time.
Had some fun this afternoon that was very cheering. OH and I filled in index cards with things we'd like to do. we then put them in envelopes and colour coded for indoors, outdoors (and a little scrabble sub-section:D ) so we can pluck one out at the weekend or what ever and we have to do what ever one come out. Eg make and fly our own kites; make our own butter; go to an observatory and look through a big telescope at the night sky; visit a place from my/his past etc etc.
Back on topic , have stuck to plan very well so far today:j oh, and yesterday had my longest walk in 5 months, probably only a couple of miles but felt really good to be using my body. We ended up wandering round the North Laines (Nia cafe is open again now bails) in the sunshine but not too many peeps about.
I try to take one day at a time, but sometimes several days attack me at once

hi all, thanks for the kind words. laptop is well and ruly dead -s till waiting to see if the hard drive can be saved. The it team and the commercial director have been very kind and are concealing it from my boss which is good. Hada fab weekend at lincoln, got a specuial tour of the parts of the prison that are closed to the public which was v exciting. Eating wise, things went crazy - totm i think and general just bleargh-ness. Reading your posts on here has got me back on the straight and narrow. I was contemplating not weighing in tomorrow but thats a real slippery slope isn't it? Went to matalan last night and tried on every single pair of black trousers in the building. None of them fitted. Have decided that i need to try and fit some some exercise in - so i've been to the local leisure centre and picked up a timetable - i used to love bodypump at hte gym but i think you need to need to join a gym to find a class so it looks like it's going to be step and tone or circuit training for me.

kpc I live in Lincoln wish I had known you were here , its a beautiful city , but when you live here you dont appreciate it , I presume you meant the prison at the castle as the prison proper is near the hospital on the outskirts and you wouldent have been taken there. Did you see our beautiful cathedral where some of the da vinci code was filmed ?I must make an effort myslf as its a few years since I went up there myself Sorry I missed you ,it would have been fun to meet. Hope ajax was ok while you were away and didn't pine too much or did you smuggle him in your suitcase ?

    Morning peeps:D

    3lb loss for me this week :j :j :j

I know where that came from, exercise:D there is a new Aldi opened 2 miles away, walked there and back, the kids have been taken to the park on the school time off, I have been up and down the stairs, decluttering, ebaying, lifting, shifting, moving, not sitting, only when it is meal times, eating the same but oh boy did the exercise increase and voila:D proof is in the pudding or exercise as in this instance :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:

Which if my mathematical calculations are correct takes me just a hair over a 6 stone loss, way to go me:j :j :j

Woo! Fantastic Victory! Hope your holiday clothes still fit - for that holiday you are still going on... aren't you? ;) I bet you feel great :D

KPC is your boss likely to go mad about the laptop then? Weigh in might not be as bad as you think, and even if it is you're not alone as quite a few of us have posted gains lately. You were away at the weekend so you're quite entitled to call it a holiday gain!

Morning Wendy, it's true we start to take our surroundings for granted but it's clear from your post that you do appreciate where you live :)

    Have a great holiday Efrieze!

Well yesterday I was rubbish with my eating and today will probably be the same. Some goodies have appeared in my kitchen for my son while he's on school hols, too much for him to eat alone so it would be rude not to share! Hoping the increased exercise will compensate - ish :p
