lol, at at the kitten talk wendy! I shall be in lincon again two more times this summer - 1st may bank holiday we're doing a FED major which will be hundreds of people and everything, the 1st week in aug a little quiet one with the lincoln city garrison. We walked across to the cathedral and was surprised to find Katherine Swynford in there - the most notorious woman in england (possibly europe) in her time. Didn't do too much walking but did find the icecream shop round the corner. It was the victorian male prison we were in which was v exciting. I like going through doors marked 'no public access'. We were using the georgian prison building too, but thats not very exciting any more - still got the doors but it's mostly like a school in there now. I was going to take ajax but it's a no pets site. So left the ajax flap open and plenty of water. They've no sense of time you know - they don;'t realise how long you're gone for.

    curious about bails's cunning plan. . . .

Sorry about your hypos Victory but WOW for your weight loss. That is an amazing total, especially when you realise that it is a whole smallish person.

Mr Grannynise is now a retired person... he's decided that he's had enough time working and it's time to stop. So I've put him in charge of shopping and cooking Monday to Friday whilst I'm at work. He really has zero experience of either, never having been what you could call a new man. Tonight is his first solo effort, a little practice as it's still the school holidays for me. Now my quandary is - do I let him just get on with it (he REALLY doesn't understand anything about adapting recipes to be low fat etc) or do I constantly interfere (my usual procedure) and then he'll just give up? I'm sending him on a cookery course if he'll go, but it won't be until September.

KPC What's a FED major? Sounds as if it might involve eating a lot. And this yogurt you're giving Ajax ... what flavour? Not passion fruit I hope.

Well done victory – way to go indeed! You blow that trumpet nice and loud – you’ve done fantastically well

Weigh-in for me tomorrow lunchtime – fingers crossed that I have managed to limit the damage done during my never-stop-eating weekend!

Hey all, another 1.6 lbs gain for me this week. sigh. I really need to get back on track.
You'll forgive me if I just cut & paste this from my thread, can't be bothered to type out again :D.
BB I've stolen a smilie off you cos I love it!!
    ...
Good day today, I left work early to see my dad before he left. Not too upsetting cos he's coming back down for Granma's 70th in June.
I took Shadow out for a w.a.l.k after he left, went along the river in the sun, I even got my pasty white legs out & was wearing shorts.
Then I went to the gym, I enjoyed my first day back, and managed to run the full 15 minutes again for the 2nd time!

Having put weight on again this week for the 2nd week in a row, I think I need to give myself a stern talking to & get myself back on track. I've decided to give myself 5 rules to help me day-to-day...
    1. No picking at food while cooking. i.e no slices of bread & butter.
    2. I must sit at the table to eat, and not infront of the tv.
    3. I will use a small plate for my dinner, to control my portion sizes.
    4. Knife & fork down between mouthfulls, instead of loading up for the next chomp:rolleyes:.
    5. Have at least 3 of my '5 a day'.
    ...
Fingers crossed that you get in for the marathon Suggs, well done for applying. I want to do the Plymouth half marathon next year. This year is too soon as it's in May, so I have plenty of time to work towards it. Hopefully I can run a few more full 15 mins on the treadmill.

    Hi

    Can I join in please??

I really want to lose weight and get back in shape after having my twin daughters (as they are almost 5 years old, there really is no excuse!!!!).

I was running a couple of times a week, but have lapsed (not sure why) and I am now out of a routine and have put an extra stone on. Its really annoying, especially after I worked so hard to lose it. I have about 2 stone to lose in total. There, said it. Worst bit over!!

Do I have to let 'someone' know my weight loss each week?

    Donna

Had an exciting moment on Friday when I dipped below 16st for the first time in a long long time, but couldn't quite maintain discipline through the weekend so reporting in with a 1lb loss this week please, down to 16St 01.

    thanks

    Mark
I think I saw you in an ice cream parlour
Drinking milk shakes, cold and long
Smiling and waving and looking so fine
