Morning All
Big welcome to yourself tagz, hope you stick around, the ladies in here are all very helpful
Hope we all had a good weekend? Only a quickie this morning as I have to head off to a meeting. Played and lost (badly) at rugby on Saturday, had to go off in the second, my ribs were hurting so much, it was getting differcult to play!! Turns out my opposite prop used to play higher up the leagues, that and my lack of weight caused me a few (painful) problemsStill we popped out Saturday night to the pictures and had a nice day yesterday pottering around.
Victory, give them hell in Boots, hope all gets sorted with your choice of painkillers, good luck with that, Eis-six welcome back to the Day one club, we have all been there and Im sure most of us will be back there soon
Right time to head off, Have a good day all and I willcatch up later

wendy, as an SW'er, I would recomend 2 things: put this weekend behind you - think of the nice time you had with your visiters and consider today day one. This will minimise 'damage'. Secondly, if you can manage the next 3 days strictly following the pland as either 0 syns or very few that would be good (as long as by day 4 you don't feel deprived and go made with the chocolate:o ). Don't do anything too drastic - that will just set up a negative eating pattern: you are on this for the long haul and developing sustainable eating patterns.
Victory - good luck with the drug decision - is there a third option of seeing what it is like off the drugs and if it is terrible, going straight back on them? It is so hard making decisions around these drugs, I am always in the same boat myself. It is never a clear cut answer for me as there will be good and bad points.
Hope you don't feel too bruised and battered for too long suggs.I try to take one day at a time, but sometimes several days attack me at once0 -
Morning
Wendyw1947 - I am ........... female!
It was my third son's 12th birthday on Sat so we had a couple of parties over the weekend. I tried to be good but the KFC was a temptation too many!
Just come in from a 3 mile jog/walk and we are about to go out to the park on our bikes. Feeling very smug at the mo.
Victory - hope you get what you need from Boots. I've got arthritis too but thankfully manage with just normal painkillers when it plays up. Exercise is very good for me - Dad has a couple of fused discs in his back because he didn't exercise enough. Do you mind my asking which tabs you are on? My sis has just beed diagnosed with it and she is deciding whether to go on some very strong tabs or not. Noticed any side effects?
Hope you all have a good day, will no doubt be back on later!I would if I could but I can't so I won't!0 -
Morning everybody! Checking in with a 1.25lb loss today, absolutely delighted with that, more than I expected
Muscle % is also up for the first time in a month so hopefully the kick up the backside I gave myself with the exercise is working.
Welcome Tagz - like others on here I first learnt about BMR (not the same as BMI) through this link, it explains everything a lot better than I could:
http://www.bmi-calculator.net/bmr-calculator/ If you plan to count calories and have any questions at all, pop them on here and there are a few of us who will be happy to helpDon't worry about not losing much weight if you have started an exercise plan - the muscle you are building now will help you burn those calories more efficiently! Do you have a target weight/dress size?
Oh Victory, you have so much going on at the moment, your head must be in a whirl. Maybe it's list making time, pros and cons, or the one I like is BRAN (What are the Benefits, Risks, Alternatives and what happens if you do Nothing). I know if it was me I'd do everything I could to still have the holiday though, esp if it might be the last one for a long time.
Hi Suggs, oh dear sorry to hear about the defeat and the rib pain. Hope you've had chance to rest up.
Wendy, just to echo what BB has said, but try not to fear a small gain either. Virtually all of us have had gains along the way and it's not worth going to pieces over them - take them in your stride, look at the month as a whole rather than any individual week. Obviously we all hope you lose or STS, but I think a small gain can also be a positive thing as a) it means you've enjoyed yourself and b) it helps refocus.
Right I'm off to do ebay parcelling... total for the month is £226 so farWill see you lovely lot later!

Hiya Tagz, welcome to our lovely thread! As you have already seen, everyone is very supportive so as BB said, come on as much as possible to help you. Sounds to me as if you're doing a great job with the exercise - 6 miles walk/run is no small feat! I would echo BB's ideas for the food ide of things, eating more mindfully like this really does help.
Victory, you do have a lot on your plate at the mo - hope you find the right solution with the drugs, I always find this part tricky too, and I'm inclined to agree with Missy about your hol. Loving the BRAN thing, not heard that before!
Hope your ribs feel better soon Suggsy, sorry you lost but your weekend sounds nice.
Well done on the loss Missy, you'll reach your May 14th target no probs.
The London Marathon has inspired me so I went for a lovely walk this morning while the sun was still blazing (pouring down now). Feels great.
Sorry Aunty Bails didn't get here in time Wendy but BB and Missy both gave you some great advice, so I hope that helps.
Vix, I couldn't access those pics, and I defo want to see them!

Hi everyone.
I think i might know why you cant see them. The ones i took are far too awful to share!
Im trying to get motivated to do my college work but im failing miserably. I would have thought that being at the end of my course would have given me that last little push i need to get everything done, but oooh no. Its so the opposite!!
I did manage to do a bit of work on my stepper. Thought getting the heart rate going and a bit of fresh air would be a good start to some college work. That failed also, but its probably good for me!
Youre house must be crammed missyg! I cant seem to sell anything me.0 -
Yes I guess I could go without the tablets for a while see if it makes it worse and hten go straight back on them if they do, thanks:D yes, hol will prob be the very last in a very long time:rolleyes: no boots did not have my prescription again:rolleyes:
missyg more loss are you not wasting away yet? lol how does the BRAN idea work then? I always make the pros and cons list but never BRAN xx0 -
Hi all
I'm not doing very well. Had a takeaway last night. Couldn't resist Chinese. It's my favourite and I haven't had it for soooo long. Chicken fried rice, yum!!
Trying to have a good day today but I'm in all afternoon so going to have to stop myself from picking. Tomorrow I've got a busy day, gonna prepare something for lunch so I'm not tempted by the (overpriced) Uni shop when I get hungry.
May go for a walk this afternoon, looks lovely outside, just too knackered to get up and go out.
Anyway, better get going, tidying to be done.0
