  too late I've had 4 totaly disgusted with myself for being so weak wish there was a chocoholics anonymous , think grandkids will have to start having fruit if I can't resist it .Ashamed of myself for giving in and blowing it:eek:
purplecatlover what about 4 funsize twirls ? how much damage do you think they have done ? I can't live my life without chocolate ' just have to be sensible and ration myself ,then will have something to look 4 ward to got OH watching me like a hawk now [ on my instructions ] only having crab stix and salad 4 tea no yogurt I dont deserve it I'm a pig .making myself suffer cos I'm bad

WOAH WOAH WOAH there Wendy! Be warned, you're about to get a Bails stern talking to. Please take a look at what you've just said to yourself. If one of us or a friend of yours had eaten the same thing, would you have said all that to them? No, of course you wouldn't. What you deserve is to be kind to yourself. It was only some chocolate, please don't be so hard on yourself x

I hope you can convince your OH to get a cat, we got our kitten from the home, best £45 I've spent. As Ajax says, there are so many looking for a good home (70 kittens alone when we got ours). Happy to say he is on the mend - no broken leg - my bank balance has taken a beating though, £218.14

wendy - you listen to our lovely aunty bails. It was just 4 fun size bars: get straight back on your regime and I swear they won't show up at your next weigh in. Healthy eating is about a 80%/20% approach. Food is good and a few indulgences are what make us delightfully human. A long term denial approach won't work.
Instead of thinking of yourself as weak, perhaps picture your inner mischievous child - the sort everyone loves, who sneaks into the kitchen and makes off with a freshly baked bun grinning wickedly. Who then goes on to eat their vegetables properly at dinner. It would be a shame to squash that delightful kid wouldn't it. Personally I always fined the sneaking into the kitchen approach far more fun than the rationally handing out of a chocolate allowance:D . It's about balance.

Been baking a cake for my lovely OH who starts his new job tomorrow: got to have supplies in his lunch box to help him cope without me all day :D .
I try to take one day at a time, but sometimes several days attack me at once

thanks purplecatlover but only like milk chocolate ;am drooling just typing it,so will allow myself a treat like you and try not to beat myself up over it instead of getting straight back on it but when I'm bad I always think thats it I've blown the diet and eat all sorts

Dark choc is an acquired taste, I was not keen but you can get used to it, it is very strong and as said you really only need a square or two and you are satisfied, that coming from a diabetic:rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:

I so used to think like you, guilt, oh well I have blown it so eat all sorts, so like you but now I see it differently, I know I can have a bit of dark choc, make allowances for it calorie wise etc and incorporate it within the 80% good 20% ratio to just enjoy it without guilt whatsover, no need for the bad feelings, just eat, enjoy, portion it, calorie it, enjoy and carry on with the weight loss programme:D it can't be that never ever you have choc or cheat or need a bit more or want a take away or whatever, just plan it in, think it in and loss will still come your way:rolleyes: :D
