I eat pumpkin seeds but mine are on the ryvita crackers I buy. They do help and are very filling.
As for sugar needs, I curb mine with carrots for sweetness, peppers, no added sugar angel delight in choc, tomatoes with a little salt on, nothing whatsoever do with sugar but they have something in them that makes me satisfied and not reach for sugar rushes.

Welcome Lexilex and Before Hollywood!:hello: Lexi, it sounds as if your 5 a day would be a great place for you to start - try getting them in and you may not reach for the other things. BH, I understand that you feel overweight - if you have always been seriously underweight, it would be natural to feel that but you definitely don't sound overweight. Could you work on adjusting your mindset perhaps, or ask your doctor how you're doing? If you want to tone up, the hand weights are a good place to start, are you looking for advice on specific exercises?
Pet, I love being described as a fitness guru, :rotfl: thankyou! :TThe 1,000 Day Challenge:Feb 16, 2016500/30,000

welcome to our lovely thread. Your BMI is currently 22.6, so I think that exercise is needed more than anything, and Suggs is the man for that as you can see. Just try and eat as healthily as you can to ensure a toned physique, you'll perhaps then be pleased with your appearance rather than having too lose much more. Good luck

tahnks guys, i think it may be important to mention that when i was that weight i had depression, and lost roughly a stone in 4 months while not even trying to, as i was to ashamed to go to the doctors to admit to my depression and the weight loss and the depression were linked. i only found out that i was seriously underweight because i went for a trial membership at a gym and they take details like age, height and weight and they said it was drastically underweight and i had a proper weigh in with an ideal weight given as well and it was about 2 stone over what i was at the time. i just want to know how to lose a few inches off my stomach and gain a bit more muscle elsewhere (no comments now.....) as it may improve my overall health/appearance and possibly my self image as wellthings arent the way they were before, you wouldnt even recognise me anymore- not that you knew me back then

Missyg, Sweets are def my main problem. If they're in the house I will eat them. I waited to start this healthy eating until all the chocolate was gona from Easter 'cos I knew knowing it was there would make me want it more, but now my boyfs bought me a big bag (and I mean big - 3kg ) of these mini jelly babies he knows I love, so they're just here staring at me.
I've tried a food diary before but found myself lying (not sure what thats going to achieve, only me that sees it  ) or 'forgetting' to fill it in on bad days. Think I might give it a try again though.
Quick, before you scoff the lot....ask him to divide them up into small sweetie bag portions...you know the 10p sized packets... that way you can have a little of them as a treat everyother day or when needed and they will last you aaaaaaaaggggggeeees....
If you don't trust yourself then tell him to keep them/hidethem and he can dole them out :-p0 -
Thanks for explaining BH. In that case, exercise is the key - do you like running, that's free, and will help tone up all areas. Press ups, sit ups etc all good and because they are body-weight bearing mean you'll develop muscles appropriate for your physique (rather than looking like Arnie!).The 1,000 Day Challenge:Feb 16, 2016500/30,000

Anyone here use Lecithin? I got some tablets as a freebie a while ago, not tried them yet, not sure if worth trying them? See some of you suggest apple cider too?
