well done everyone.
welcome to all the newbies.
depsite the scales on ly showing me as havign list a few pounds, the tape measure says my waist has lost 4inches. now maybe my head will get back out of the old must not eat space and stick to eating regularly.
chocolate cravings, i do far better if i have heaps of it in the fridge. if i dont have it i end up bingeing big time, but if its here then i will eat one piece and thats enough mostly.
my downfall, and luckily i cant get them here, are kimberly biscuits. my mum sent me a couple small packs in the mail and i scoffed one whole packet today. i managed to leave the tayto cheese and onion at my sisters last weekend.

very much for the chart delly:T . Well, day 2 is drawing to a close and so far so good on reigning in the sugar fest (the days not over yet though...). Thanks for the info bails
I knew about the blood sugar thing but no harm being reminded: because I don't normally have a sweet tooth it wasn't in the forefront of my mind. Interestly for me though, I find I have been craving in the afternoon and having a sweet fest trough in, and then only needing a top up sweet nibble 5 hrs later in the evening, with my sensible evening meal in between. So my body doesn't seem to relate to the rapid sugar induced blood sugar drop cycle.
Late this afternoon I had 5 semi dried prunes, (sweet and tasty) as I felt at least they were healthier than biscuits and then nibbled some cheese for the protein bit(no pumpkin seeds in da house yet). Can't say yet if it helped because it may be down to the uber focussing of my mind to over come this. But I'll keep giving it a go because the 2 things together may be the key. Petrichor - I'm like you, I have to make sure there is nothing tempting in the house or I just hoover it up at the mo in a few mouthfuls:o .Very helpful to know you went through a phase of this recently. Ditto suggs . Thanks for your ideas victory.
This feels the most intense test since reaching target. If I can crack this one I'll hopeful feel more confident I can do it again. Which reminds me: must go and prep tomorrows lunch and evening meal. It's all in the planning...
Congrats to marion and other losers.
Big welcomes to some more newbies: before hollywood & lexilex : def sounds like exercise and toning up is the way to go, with such healthy bmi's -but others on here will be better than me at advice on that. Well done GPuk on regining in after the choc fest and getting a sts: result:D .I'm sure it did you good to have a week easing back after reaching your first target and geared you up nicely for the next 1/2 stone.
missyg - I'll building myself up to photographing loads of clothes for ebay next. All things that are now too big of course.
I try to take one day at a time, but sometimes several days attack me at once0 -
3lbs lost, please, grannynise.Good luck to all weighers-in today - that's you, mot, from personal knowledge(thankyou for em reminder:D )

morning guys, marion, doesn't that loss look spectacular on the chart there? well done!
Some good advice for lex and bh there - I hope you enjoy being part of this thread. Nice to see a post from poohbear too - how are you? Stuff about blook sugar v interesting. Wendy, what were they saying at SW about nuts and seeds. I've shied away from them because unless you count them as heb they have quite a high syn count don't they? Had to go out for dinner last night for work as we had commissioned a focus group - didn't get home till 2230! I stayed good though, had a red day steak and potato, and felt very virtuous when i got home. Off out for lunch again today so eggs for breakfast!0 -
Oh the pain of a gain:rolleyes: seeing it on the chart is def very good for me, not a lot in the grand scheme of things I admit but it dooms me:rotfl: :rotfl: oh well at least I can gather happiness from going to work with the nice boss today, we always have a right laugh and it is beautifully sunny.:D
I wish I was 7 though with the simple things in life, just put a tele in his room and he thinks it is fab, he keeps popping upstairs to watch it as if they have different channels upstairs than downstairs:rotfl: :rotfl: oh the simplicity of life:rolleyes:
Yesterday I bought a scratchard, won £1, son was beside himself with excitement, got another one, won again, and again until like he said 'oh well my luck has run out now' the way he was going on we were going to be millionaires:rotfl:0 -
