Sorry to read of your problem kpc I can't add any more than Missyg and Bb have said. I was never too keen to have children and when I did have DD I was the worst mother imaginable, I had no natural maternal feelings, fortunately MrP did most of the work, he was fantastic. Even though I got better as she grew older, I still carry quite a bit of guilt about it all. She has turned out to be a wonderful adult, but I put it all down to MrP
. I wish you well

...Thanks for the replies re the switching of gas/electricity :T Any more of you please?...

i've switched with no issues too pet - but be careful on the time of year - I tend to build up a credit through summer to use in the winter. I switched in nov, recieved a nice fat cheque from the old supplier which has been frittered away and of course, now i'm in debit again0

Parenthood seems to bring its share of guilt petrichor, but something tells me you are under selling yourself here. It's great Mr P was/is a fab dad, but I bet it was a partnership and there was and is plenty you offered, just perhaps not in the 'conventional' way when she was a baby, but 'conventional' is irrelevant. Your kindness and suppport of others on hear, despite your own ill health and difficult times is testiment to the person you truely are. And duaghters don't tend to hang out with bad mothers, and yours seem to be around a fair bit? I bet she doesn't put it all down to Mr P.
Anyway, surely you have made up for anything lacking by your constancy in hemming her trousers - that's true love:A .
My dad sometimes feels sad that he doesn't consider he was a very good father (and he suffers from depression). The truth is never so simple: no, in some ways he wasn't fab, but in other ways he was and I have grown to appreciate him more and more as an adult. I know now I would have ultimately missed out if he hadn't stuck around.I try to take one day at a time, but sometimes several days attack me at once0 -
So do I just go & buy cider vinigar capsules then?

Bb Thank you so much for your lovely comments, they've made me quite teary eyed
. You are so right in it being a partnership, we weren't conventional either, at one stage I was the main wage earner for a considerable while. It's a case of children only knowing what happens to them and accept whatever way of life it entails. I just wish though that she was a few inches taller so that I didn't have to do the *!!!!!!!' trouser hems :rotfl: ...
Have a lovely evening

I have often changed suppliers, anything to save money:D
Had a big meal because I wanted to and the numbers have shot up through the roof so working on bringing them down, no leeway in the diabetic world:rotfl: it wasn't even choc, bad stuff just lots of it, oh well now will not have to eat for a fair bit to even the numbers.
Snow all gone, green grass again.
Off to the money saving old style to see what I can cheaply cook from now on, once we move we will think baked beans on toast is a luxury:rotfl: :rotfl:0 -
I changed suppliers often too, tend to do one or two different ones (elec, phone bill, broadband, current acc, isa etc.) each month and get round everything about every 6 months or so and start again - if I can't change it at that time due to 12-month contracts etc. I just make sure I do it in a further 6 months time. Bit like a financial flylady!:money:
I ended up going back to square one again  with my weight so started the Cambridge Diet just over a week ago - I;ve started well and lost 9lbs in my first week and am managing to keep it up this week (although had to buy meal bars this week as I missed chewing - started to subconsciously do it and didn't even had any food in my mouth:rotfl:) Downside my Grocery Challenge is now completely out the window as the shakes are more expensive than cooking myself but it's only for a few weeks until my wedding!! Other half is managing to fend for himself too so if he ever say he's not a very good cook again...

I cant relate so well to the not wanting kids issue. Ive been broody since birth i think. When i was a child i played babies, as a older child i would pick out prams, sheds, sofas ect for the "family home" Now being broody is my 24 hour job!
I remember saying to my mother in marks and spenser when i was about 10 that i would have 6 children. Maybe it will come true ha. Although thankfully i am not a chav, i would have probably succumbed (sp) by now.
I hope you find the right route in your lives together KPC
I went out last night. Totally mixed my drinks and i am paying for it now! Cant wait to go to bed! This getting older lark is no fun sometimes!0
