I only have a tiny wee silly sewing machine. :o I am looking at ready cut fabric on ebay which I should be able to stitch together easily enough.

    Ta Churchie. :T

We should rename this Churchie's quick questions on sewing and knitting thread. :p:D

You do not need a fancy machine, Amish women sew wonderful quilts on old singer treadle machines.....they do not have elctricity in their homes, so all sewing is done either by hand or on these trusty old machines.

    Hi Czarina

I did know you had stayed in the area. I thought it was Port Seton which is nearer to me. (Great fish shops at the harbour for fresh fiah for tea.).

    gb XXX

GB we moved from Haddington to Port Seton had a house built there when they started the A1 upgrade......could not face the fight to get through from Haddington into the city each morning and then doing the reverse on the way home again!!!

Are you still in East Lothian Csarina? For some reason I'm surprised there are so many people on here in my vicinity(ish). I'm in Midlothian.

Can I ask the Expert Churchie about crochet  I've taken it up for Lent (pic of one of my first pieces on thriftlady's Lent thread). I'm having trouble with tension (on my crochet, not in myself ;):D ). DH has described the square I'm working on atm as "lopsided" Any tips on how to keep tension constant?

Haribo, I've been thinking about taking up patchwork for a while. Maybe we could have a Support Thread.

    (((((Smoky)))))

Redruby - how are you getting on?

Been watching a bit more of DD's Colin Firth Pride and Prejudice DVD. We got the wet shist scene, and I came over very flushed :o

Thanks for the knitting tips CM & Step. I understood them :D. My ball is coming to an end soon so I'll be able to do this one properly. As you can tell I haven't done a lot of knitting.

Thanks for the hugs. Still choked up today. Think I'll just take it easy & not work too hard. :D Might as well milk it as much as \I can, I never get sick.

Haribo I think you'd look really fetching in your Amish costume making a quilt. :D You can't sew and use the whips at the same time though. ;)
    PenPen It's called menopause. :D
Racy I was only thinking of you the other week & wondered where you got to. I hope you are well & happy.

Have a good nights sleep. I better go and do the breakfast dishes. Byeeeeeeeeeeeee
Don't worry about the world coming to an end today. It's already tomorrow in Australia. ;)
