:hello: Croeso a dydd gwyl Dewi Sant!:hello:
It's Saint David's day here in Wales and we will be celebrating by going to a wedding (not the usual sort of celebration, but very nice!)
Very windy last night, so shall have to pick up all the blown over pots etc in the garden, & keep everything crossed for all the posh frocks/ hats etc later on. Did offer the bride my pink rose patterned wellies, but she did not seem keen.
Off to buy some sheeting to make new bolster covers, it seems they don't make them anymore so shall force myself to go to the fabric shops
.
Poor OH, two hours saying "Yes dear" while I wave bits of material, and then his good suit all afternoon
.
(((((((((((((hugs to all, especially those who can't enjoy today. )))))))))))))

Good morning everyone
smoky I hope the news gets better soon. (((hugs))) You must be worn out. Please remember to make some time for yourself - even if it is only 5 minutes in a quiet place with a cup of tea.
redruby hope the meeting goes well. I echo what others have said - please put you and your DD first. (((hugs)))
Happy Birthday to Miss Llamahead. Have a lovely day.
Stefjb I can't believe your ex has done a moonlight flit when he is supposed to be spending time with his DD!
Croeso a dydd gwyl Dewi Sant! to you luxor and all welsh OSers. (confession time, I have no idea what I have just typed - I copied and pasted it from your message.
)
mrs flittersnoop hope your mind doesn't go blank at your concert after you have put so much effort in.
Have woken up with a very sore throat and a blocked nose. Have no idea where that has sprung from as I felt fine going to bed last night.
Haven't slept particularly well as I think I am worrying about my mortgage deal, which is due to end on 31/03/08. My income is made up of various sources so there are not so many lenders who want to consider me. I dread to think what position I would be in if it wasn't for the fact that my boss is a mortgage specialist. With the credit crunch hitting hard, lenders are really tightening up on their criteria. I pity anyone who has a high loan-to-value, self-employed, tainted credit score or in the same position as me. It's gonna get harder folks.
Cooked a chicken that I got reduced to £2.50 in Morrisons yesterday. It is HUGE! I reckon I can easily get 15 individual meals out of it. :j I think we will be sick of chicken by the end of the week though.
DS made a brioche loaf in the BM too so that's his breakfast sorted.
Don't think we will be doing much as it's still quite windy here. Will play it by ear.
Have a super Saturday one and all. xx"Bad planning on your part does not constitute an emergency on my part."

Well, got up with the lark (well, about 7am anyway:o), have made a Mexican casserol for dinenr tonight, got a wash done & am going to hang it out in the breeze next, cleaned the kitchen & had breakfast. Next job is to drag Spud out of bed then loan him to a childcare student for the morning (don't worry her Mum is a established childminder & will be supervising the whole time!), got to pick up a parcel from the sorting office then I *might* tackle the mountain of acculmated paperwork in front of me, as it's starting to obscure the monitor:o

Well DD hasnt developed any spots overnight and seems much brighter today which is good news. Plans for the day are afew errands including getting DH to buy his mum a Mothers day card, its the one card I don't buy each year and he always leaves it to the last minute.
This afternoon we are going to see a friends new house and DH is going to fix her PC. I also get to cuddle her adorable twins who are 10 months old. I've also got to go to Aldi and get some bits for the week.

After hearing the wind blowing all night, its actually looking lovely out at the moment, which is good, as DS has a football match at 1 today - so another afternoon in a cold muddy field for us!!
WM is on, and the BM is on making the dough for rolls for our lunch - bacon baps!!! yummy
. Ive had a shower and washed my hair (second dose of nit treatment last night, making sure we really have got rid of the little b****rs this time  ) but im still in my dressing gown so will need to get dressed in a moment.
Going to make freezer surprise curry tonight, i think its chicken (really do need to start labelling things when i put them in  ) so DD will be pleased, she loves my HM curry more than the shops or takeaways!!!
OK, off to do something, hope everyone has a lovely day,
Take care xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx0 -
Morning all
Have been up since 6 studying. Am now fully dressed (unheard of on a Saturday) and just had breakfast.
HAPPY ST. DAVID'S DAY
SMOKEY so sorry about your news, thinking of you and yours.
PENPIN good result with your flowers :j
STUDENTGIRL shame you hate your placement so much, what is it you don't like and what a waste of a learning opportunity.
HAPPY BIRTHDAY MS LLAMMAHEAD
HUGS to anyone who fancies one.
It's still blowing a gale here but sunny. Will be taking DS swimming in a bit. Might go to PizzaHut for tea as we have all been so ill and it's been such a c****y week. DS has got his appetite back with a vengeance
.
Off to clean out the fridge, then will mop bathroom and kitchen floor. Am going to try using neat vodka to get rid of the smell of pee, picked up some cheap in my local Co-Op yesterday. Can hear OH snoring, has just got back from his night-shift, wish I could snore like that when I'm on nights  .
Have a good day all

Good morning all!
Happy St David's Day
((((((smoky))))))
Aussie, hope you feel better soon. It's best to join in the new ball at the start of a line, not the middle. Not only neater, but you don't get holes appearing;)
Happy Birthday miss llamahead:bdaycake:
It's a lovely day here. Blowy, but very sunny, and my bedding is just about to go and dance on the line. Think I'll be using twice as many pegs as normal though:D
Other than that, not much planned, but hope to do some more of my snowman wall hanging. I fished it out last night and really got back into it. And after all, I do have to get it finished for next Christmas:rotfl:
Enjoy your Saturday!
CM x
edited to add DH puts the TV news on most mornings. I've just heard about Ireland's entry being a turkey:eek: Snowy, I thought you were just being insulting when you mentioned it earlier, I didn't think for one minute you meant for real:o :rotfl:You never get a second chance to make a first impression.0
