Hello all !
Hope everyone survived the wind with no damage................awful here it was and got up this morning to find the chimena shattered all over the place. We'd put it in a very sheltered spot........always do and its survived all sorts of winds for 5 years...........till now !! Not a good start to the day.
Thought I'd re-organise my shelves a bit and put all my folders on one shelf.....that went ok............storage boxes (shoe box size) on shelf above......fine till I find one I'd forgotten about that now has no 'home' !!
So, going to have to have a re-think and re-shuffle..............later on -brain too befuddled now.
OH got up this morning to go to the loo about 4am and found our lad had gone out !!! His window was wide open (in this weather !!) so OH closed it, came down and checked the doors then a light tapping at the front door and there stood our lad............some likely tale about having to go out and help his mate who'd broken his leg ??? I think not somehow..............words will be said when he emerges from what can only be described as his 'pit'...................lol
Have a good day, becareful if you go out...........the wind could take you places you don't want to be.
Hugs ((((((((((((((((((((((((:o )))))))))))))))))) to all those who need themMary
I'm creative -you can't expect me to be neat too !

Morning all
Hugs to Smokey, you are often in my thoughts.
RR, I remember about 10 years ago I was at work, knee deep in a huge order that was to be sent to Italy, I'd just finished a phone call to book a courier who'd insisted there was no place called Milan in Italy! When the phone rang again, when I answered it I heard a man asking me what coloured knickers I had on, I said 'Pardon' so he then started to describe what he wanted to do to me. I lost my temper & yelled down the phone 'If you've got nothing better to do than to sit there making phone calls & w**king, you can come over here & help us pack some cables up' I have to admit I added a lot of 'F's' to the sentence. Once I'd slammed the phone down I looked around to find the other 3 members of staff looking at me open mouthed, they had probably never heard me swear before. We then all dissolved into gales of laughter. The really funny thing is thet the guy actually apologised once I'd finsihed ranting.
There is still no sign of Katy, so heaven knows what is going on there, the interviews for her job are taking place next week & then we will know whether she is leaving in April or July.
I went out for an indian meal last night with people from work which was very nice, thought the restaurent staff were very disorganised, some parts of the meal arrived twice & some not at all, but as it was only £10 I wasn't too bothered.
Tonight hubby & I are going to the local carvery, some friend are treating us as they want to pick out brains about a business proposal, no idea what sort though, we'll have to wait & see.
Hubby's going to watch his nephew go kart racing tomorrow, a friend has offered to give him a lift & I'm going for an italien meal with my kids for a mothers day treat, I'll be wearing a size larger clothes by Monday.
Hope everyone has a good day.
Hugs Hester

Morning everyone,
I'm a misery today. I have a 3 year old who has had a high temp off and on for a couple of days and now has that horrible croupy barking cough. I don't want to take him to the out of hours gp as he seems ok (not listless and still talking)and goodness knows what he will pick up if we go, but I feel like a bad mummy for not taking him to the doctor.
We had a very wakeful night, so he's snuggled up on the sofa with his daddy watching Tom and Jerry. I wish I could have whatever he has got for him, to save him being ill.
I know there are other people on this board with worse things, and I feel for them too, but I so hate seeing my little man so poorly.
Take care all of you,0 -

Morning all...................(((((((((HUGS))))))))))) if you need one.
A quick trip to the allotment to do a bit of weeding and prepare the ground for spuds etc.
I am away this afternoon to visit my friend. Have not seen her for a couple of weeks......she seems to still be in a lot of pain after her knee replacement, I think she expected to run a mile straight after!!! It doesn't work like that!!!! as the man in the advert says.
I am getting used to the new vista programme, do find it very different....one thing I do like is that you can quickly load a picture from your picture file as desktop background....just now I have a view down the Dordogne river on.........
Right not read the thread will do so later, just off for a bacon sandwich, change into decent clothes and shoot off, will call into the shop and get a couple of cream cakes........yummy...............Was 13st 8 lbs,Now 12st 11 Lost 10 1/4lbs since I started on my diet.0 -

Was going to say Morning everybody until I realised it's the afternoon

So Afternoon everybody :hello:
smokybabe - big hugs, and sorry things are not looking better. You and OH are still in my thoughts and prayers.
Happy Birthday to Miss Llamahead and Master Crazychik :bdaycake:
VickyA - congratulations on your class's win!
I went to a colleague's leaving do last night for "just one drink" and came out four hours later thoroughly sozzled
I don't know how I have managed to avoid the hangover from hell today, but somehow all I have is a tiny little headache! Probably something to do with the fact that I had 12 hours' sleep!
I've promised to contribute 10 Mothering Sunday posies to church tomorrow, so need to go out soon and find a florist to buy some nice spring blooms. There's one lady at church who always does really lovely posh ones with different coloured crocuses and nice binding, so the pressure is on to do something slightly more interesting than boring daffs
Need to be back in the house by 3pm as I have a Tesco wine order being delivered.
Love Rzl xx

Call me thick, but how do you tie on another ball at the end of the row?
It might not be at the end and by the time I knit it in, in could be in the middle, iywim.
Awaiting in anticipation.

Here's a little trick for when your yarn is running out and you don't want to start a new one in the middle but don't want to waste too much yarn. find the mid point of the yarn that's left and make a slip knot (is that what its called - you know that loop thingy that you can pull out) - carry on knitting - if you finsih the row before you get to the loop you know that there's enough yarn for another row - repeat as necessary - I thank youI'm going to feed our children non-organic food and with the money saved take them to the zoo - half man half biscuit 20080
