  • Jannie, probably better tackling fresh in the morning - if you are very tired you won't produce your best tonight.

PenPen - sorry you still ropey. It is still blowing a hooley here too but not as bad as mid afternoon!

RedR - well what can I say. Hope things go the best way tomorrow.

Dorry - our two kids long flown the nest, I still miss them and just love it the odd times they come 'home' to stay. They are both home owners but I still consider this as their real home (I think they do too sometimes!).

WANNASAVEMONEY - Here - fingers well and truly crossed! is the little ted pattern! The ears and arms on on page two. It's a lovely pattern. I have absolutely no idea if I've done this properly! It seemed vastly more complicated than the last time I used Photobucket! I don't know why the font is different between the two links but I daren't mess with it in case I b****r it all up! The knitting instructions are taken from 'Teddy Bears' Picnic' in Jean Greenhowe's Toy Collection book. It's a lovely pattern because you end up with a fully-jointed teddy bear who loves to travel! I made mine a suitcase by knitting a strip of stocking stitch about 2.5" long and 1" wide, sewed it up like an envelope so that it had a flap coming over the top, and made a strap with a short length of single crochet. In fact, the strap is too long so he uses it like a back-pack! I keep meaning to take a photo of the front of my passport, shrink it down and put it in the case so that he's valid to travel anywhere! I shall definitely try and do that for the ones I am making for presents.

Thats brilliant thanks mioliere. It printed off fine for me I'll look forward to making it. Shall make the boys one each as a little easter pressie - time permitting of course. Thanks again for going to the trouble of doing that for me.

    Hi guys,

I am feelig very low and disheartened tonight and have the mother of all headaches.

I saw the anaesthetist on duty today (they are in charge of the CITU) and had a long chat. He is extremely worried about Eric's condition. He has said that the valve needs replacing but this can not be done as he is far too poorly. He feels that the valve is not helping his recovery as it is hindering the supply of oxygeon to the rest of his body and that they are in a catch 22 situation at the moment. He has also said that OH is very poorly and that one more problem will probably tip the scales and be too much for his system to take.

OH remains in much the same condition and has started developing pressure sores on his elbows, heel and his bottom has broken. They will not be turning him over on to his belly if another crisis happens with his o2 levels as they feel that this is of little benefit in the long run. His o2 requirements remain at about 60% and he is needing very high support from the vent.

Edit -Sorry posted instead of preview.

I really don't know what else to say at the moment - they have said that they will continnue to support him until he no longer needs it and are fighting hard to keep him with us.

I hope you are all well.

    Smoky.
