Morning everyone
well my plan to get up early and do all the housework had a fatal flaw - I'm rubbish at getting up - so it will all have to wait until tomorrow as I'm out tonight - yay. Yes actually out with grown ups, after dark and everything .... although dd11 is coming too. Celebrating payday with friend and her family by going out to chinese
have a good day everyoneI'm going to feed our children non-organic food and with the money saved take them to the zoo - half man half biscuit 20080 -
MOrning.. saw dd 17 before she went off to school this morning with warnings not to propose to anyone!
Client due at 10am, but place is mostly sorted ready (working in open plan kitchen living room at the mo) as I made a mistake and was expecting her yesterday! Leisurely sit here with SAD lamp, cuppa and then breakfast methinks.
might get a start on the cakes.. simnel, golden wedding and 18th for DD."Knowledge is knowing that a tomato is a fruit. Wisdom is not putting it in a fruit salad"

Morning all:j
Hope every1 is ok on this Fri morn, weekend tomorrow!
Went for my appointment at the agency yesterday, wasn't what I was expecting, they were very formal. Past agencies I have been with have been informal chats, but this one felt like I was being questioned by the SAS! :rotfl:They didn't even have anything for me in the end, but at leat im on the books now should anything come up.
Me and OH ended up at Pizza hut for lunch, had the pizza/salad buffet and ate way toooo much, couldnt move after and all I wanted to do was go home and go sleep :rotfl:
Come home and found a job online to apply for, gave them a ring and its another agency. They want me to go an register with them aswell, and turns out they are 3 doors up from the agency i went to yesterday  so gotta drive over to truro again today
Had a surprise phone call yesterday from the production team of celebrity ready steady cook! asking if I would like to come and be in the audience next week! (I nust have signed up for tickets somewhere but totally forgot about it) unfortunately I had to turn them down, can't afford to be travelling to london at mo.
Todays plan -
Go to truro to register with agency
Go to youngest DS's nursery for mothers day performance at 11am
Make some soup and scones
Catch up on washing
Tidy kids room (only tidied it a few days ago )
Hoover up
Pop to tescos
Pop to local council to pick up a recycling box
Dinner tonight is fish and chips for kids as me and OH are out for a meal for my best friend's birthday.
All for now, hugs to all, Hels xx0 -
Essex-girl wrote: »Donnygal - can I ask you - is an external HD good for backup rather than discs?
The real answer is always have two copies of your data, HD's can fail, so external HD can fail too, but they are very quick and easy to use and provided you have your data in two places then you usually are OK. For anything you cannot afford to lose then copy it to DVD as well, this is a future proof as you can get atm, but as we know with videos etc., we will have to keep an eye on these, and I can see in the future with downloads all we will be given is a usb port. If you need to make space on your laptop/desktop hd, then you can move them to an external HD, but doing that if you are lazy and can afford it, you then go to 2 ext HD'sas the HD's get bigger then we keep storing more and more data.

Good morning all. I rang school first thing-finally someone is interested in stopping the little !!!!! who is bullying my daughter!!! Got to take eldest DD to hospital later on this morning-so hopefully will know more then.
My nephew had to stay in hospital again last night as his xray came back not looking very good. si he was on oxygen all night again-they said that if he lived closer to the hospital they might have considered letting him go home but unfortunately haverford west is about 40 minutes away from where they live so they had to keep him in.
Not much else to tell this am. Thanks Mioliere for posting knitting pattern- when I was younger I made a couple of care bears and have no longer got the pattern for that-unfortunately!!! My eldest DD turns her nose up at teddies-the younger one still loves them-bless her.
Catch you all later!!!GE 36 *MFD may 2043

Happy Birthday Master CRAZYCHIK!:bdaycake:
I really must go and get something done. I only walked past the computer on my way into another room and something made me sit down and come on here! Still, I have cleaned the bathroom, tidied upstairs, pegged some washing out, cleared up the breakfast things and written my shopping list so at least something's been achieved. Oh, and I've also put the ironing board up; not used it yet, but it's up!
TATTYCATH - (((hugs))) to your nephew. Also, I have patterns for bigger teddies, too, but not for a care bear, I'm afraid. If I find one I'll post it on here. I find as children become grown-ups, even boys, they love having a teddy made specially for them. You can make football scarves for them which makes them look more macho!
See ya!

morning everyone!
Had a lie in this morning - been a busy week and now perusing the boards to catchup with everyones news and offers and old style inspiration.
then going to have a blitz round the house and write a report. Not very exciting- but necessary so better do it!!!
Lunch is something from the fridge (probably soup) and dinner is chicken stirfry. Going to have a nice quiet evening tonight with DH and a DVD.
See you all later for elevenses xr.mac, you are so wise and wonderful, that post was lovely and so insightful!0 -
Hi all, happy birthday Master C-C.
Feeling rubbish here this morningHave been up most of the night with a poorly cat, but she seems to have settled down now and is sleeping peacefully (unlike me  ) on our bed. I have an ezcema breakout on my eyelid which is making my eye water and my face swell up, very pretty.
Got one load of towels etc in the WM, have made beds, emptied DW and cleared up breakfast things so haven't been totally lazy this morning.
I'm singing in a concert tomorrow night and we have to learn a huge long piece of music (in LATIN, eek) off by heart so I'll be spending the day annoying the neighbours trying to do that.
Not much other news, I'm still trying to finish off a top I started to make two weeks ago and then I'd like to cut out the cushion covers I bought fabric for during the week - however that will entail a major clear-off of the dining room table so is probably unlikely to happen
Have a great day everyone.

Morning folks,
Working again at 12 - hope it's not like yesterday - really quiet for 3 hours, then went absolutely manic for an hour or so (they were running 9 lines at one point, despite knowing we only have 5 pallets to stack  ), then dead for the rest of the day.
I should really go into Liskeard this morning, have to post a letter and pay the council tax. Still got to have a shower though and then....can I really be bothered???
ScuzzGood luck for the job (if you want it)!!
Tired-Mum Hugs to you - hope things get sorted out.
Hope everyone has a good day
Edit: I really must join March GC as well :rolleyes:We must all suffer one of two things: the pain of discipline or the pain of regret and disappointment0 -
Good morning everyone,
HAPPY 3rd BIRTHDAY MASTER CC
Smokey - still thinking of you xxx
Well, day off for me today, so i have taken the children to school, ive come back and had my shower and washed my hair, and im now sat here watching Thelma and Louise with a hot chocolate made with marshmallows and squirty cream!!!!
Im sure you can guess i dont have much planned for today, other than to decide what dvd to watch next!!!
I know it sounds great, but i do get lonely here on my own, much prefer having a LO to run after and talk to.
Do want to give the bathroom and toilets a swish, will do that once the steam has gone from the bathroom, and also need to get the BM on, with the pizza dough for dinner tonight. Thats it tho!
