Don't normally get to type that, but DD2 is off sick today I'm supposed to be in work. :rolleyes: I'm lucky to have a lovely Headteacher who understands that us teachers do have 'other lives' outside of teaching. She had a raging temperature this morning and was complaining of a sore thoat which she's had for most of the week. When she was little she had a febrile convulsion and ended up in hospital so I've always been extra cautious with her when her temperature goes up. She's dosed up with medicine and blobbing out on the sofa at the moment in charge of the tv remote!
I've done a few jobs around the house, my ironing is upto date and I even managed to do some things for church on the pc. The rest of the day is MINE (apart from looking after DD2) so I could do anything, even read a book or have some hot choc like catowen!:T

Hello all !

Chilly day with grey skies, not very inspiring. Still, did decide to clear my other desk............emptied out letter rack (it breather a huge sigh of relief I'm sure), filed everything away -well nearly everything, still some family history stuff to sort - found some tippex in the drawer I forgot I'd got so that was a bonus.
Given up on it now for a bit before I delve into the other drawers. Don;t know what I did last night but I've done something to my hand/wrist ! Seem to remember trying to prop my head up for some reason while I was asleep............lol and OH said I groaned then that I'd hurt my wrist ! How on earth could I hurt it that much...............just had a job to lift the kettle !
So, taking it easy for the rest of the day I think..........it's my right one and I'm right handed......!!!!

One of our lads stayed at his Mums last night and didn't get the bus back this morning so he's in bad books there as well as when he eventually decides to come back which he will as he knows its pocket money day...............lol

Still heard nothing from the website I ordered goods from that haven't arrived so now I'm going to have to threaten small claims court or something and really don't think its worth it for the amount involved............still I'll have to do it on principle I think.

Busygirl - enjoy your afternoon, my hot choc was lovely, im tempted to have another (will walk to school, to make me feel better about it!!)

Ivyleaf - im using up my freezer at the moment, so we regularly have freezer surprise - Sunday roast will be the last roast in there, from memory i think its roast chicken in gravey, but it could be anything, will find out when its defrosted (as long as its not curry, ive done that before, and doesnt really go with roasties and veg!!!)

Well I've been to see my dad got his breakfast and pills sorted and he was moaning and feeling sorry for himself so I'm afraid I told him off I wasn't in the mood to molycoddle him today so I made him have a wash and change his pyjamas and a couple of things I've left him to do that he can manage
then I went to the shops paid some bills and now I'm going to get some lunch and put the bm,wm and dw on

Got DS birthday cake - Dr Who, for next week. DD wants a My Little Pony - but her's is not till end of March.

It looks like its "job" season - I too have been called about a Job working for a contractor on the Olympic Project in Stratford - could be interesting if I got free tickets to the olympics!!! lol

penpen - is that butter icing ontop of your cup cakes in your avatar? they look yummy! Ive only ever put the icing sugar&water type on top so far - but yours look nice a fluffy! (oo that sounds abit fruity doesnt it?!)

Afternoon Everyone

DD is not herself today at all. She actually asked for Calpol this morning and has been lying on me most of the day. I've got a horrible feeling that it could be Chickenpox as one of her little friends has come down with it.

I've not managed to get much done this morning apart from a load of washing and a quick tidy round. I'm hoping to give the floors a going over this afternoon and that will have to do for the weekend.

I think that tea may be a supermarket indian takeaway.
