  • Scuzz, think about why you want to leave your current job. If you hate it, is the one you are going for better. Try writing a list of pros and cons for each and maybe that will help you make a decision.

Your current job sounds pretty exciting from what you have said, and money isn't everything
You're only young once, but you can be immature forever :D
  • Good morning all!

Happy Birthday to Master Crazychik :bdaycake: hope you enjoy being 3 or 12 :p:D

    (((((Smoky)))))

Received the Happy Hooker from the library yesterday - what a brilliant book, and it brought smirks to the Small Penguins' faces  . I may purchase one for myself. My crochet isn't coming along as well as I'd like :o so I think I'll have a long session today to see if I can get any further.

Planning to go out with my w*** colleages tonight, but I've not been feeling well these last few days (was sent home on Tuesday lunchtime) so not sure if I'm going. I may curl up in front of a log fire with my wool.

Enjoy your Free Day :T :j

God Morning All, slightly later start to INset Day means a fraction more time to get on here! I used to regularly read and re-read the four books in the Little Women series, but used to cry every time I got the bit where Beth dies! Not sure I still have them (littlest sister probably has them squirreled away with the bulk of my childhood favourites!)
Really looking forward to tonight when I'm going to a friend's suprise party. Must do some ironing NOW or I'll have nothing to wear.
Scuzz, know how you feel about the job - I once accepted a headship which I hated and struggled with for three years, and if I'm honest I knew when I was offered it that it just wasn't right for me, but felt very flattered....big mistake - the extra money was not worth the aggro and very real stress.
Smoky - thinking of you loads.
Have a good day everyone - and good luck to anyone popping the question in earnest!
    Resolution:
    Think twice before spending anything!

Donnygal - Sorry you are sad to leave - can I ask you - is an external HD good for backup rather than discs?

Ageandjo - good luck with the 'question' tonight.

Scuzz - good luck for the interview today - just remember how upset and angry you have been with your current employers over the last year - I am a firm believer in 'gut feelings' and you may feel differently later - change can sometimes be hard.

Nothing much exciting planned for today, oh is not working so thing will persuade him to do the housework and I will get on with paperwork this morning then some ironing later. Think he is popping into town this morning so will get him to get some salad stuff to have with our hm pizza tonight.

Need to menu plan this morning so can nip out over the weekend to get any bits I need. Have made changes but menu planning is definately coming along.

    Have a great Friday.

    Good Morning ALL

Thankyou for DS birthday wishes. He took it in good faith having a card with 3 on it. He's 3 today (official) and 12 tomorrow.

Finally got the wheel sorted out!

Got a whopping great big cold sore this morning, and its quite pain full.

OH popped in last night for a few more bits. It was an ok atmopshere, didnt do a great deal of talking, but I think the break is doing us good!

WANNASAVEMONEY - Here - fingers well and truly crossed! is the little ted pattern! The ears and arms on on page two. It's a lovely pattern. I have absolutely no idea if I've done this properly! It seemed vastly more complicated than the last time I used Photobucket! I don't know why the font is different between the two links but I daren't mess with it in case I b****r it all up! The knitting instructions are taken from 'Teddy Bears' Picnic' in Jean Greenhowe's Toy Collection book. It's a lovely pattern because you end up with a fully-jointed teddy bear who loves to travel! I made mine a suitcase by knitting a strip of stocking stitch about 2.5" long and 1" wide, sewed it up like an envelope so that it had a flap coming over the top, and made a strap with a short length of single crochet. In fact, the strap is too long so he uses it like a back-pack! I keep meaning to take a photo of the front of my passport, shrink it down and put it in the case so that he's valid to travel anywhere! I shall definitely try and do that for the ones I am making for presents.

If this doesn't work, I'll have another go. If that doesn't work, you can always pm me your email address and I'll scan it and email it to you.
