Any good news re DS Churchie?
Hope your nephew is on the mend soon Tattycath

Shez I am thinking of breaking with tradition and UN asking OH to marry me. He's in full DIY mode at the weekend and no sooner have I tidied up than he wrecks the place again. So I will be proposing that he puts down his bl00dy drill for 5 minutes. We will be housebound this weekend as we're expecting more gale force winds and sleet and snow.

I've spent the morning sorting out the utility room and making it look prettier as I seem to spend so much of my life in there.:D

The rain is hitting the window horizontally just now and I have to go out to post a mother's day prezzie to Step mum. Might pop into the charity shops while I'm there. Then pickup the girlies and off to a friend for a coffee.

Tea is macaroni cheese and gammon steak and no I haven't done the ironing yet. :p

    Haribo x

Ditto what redruby said. and if you haven't/don't want to fall out/offend the recipient I would suggest getting somfrom somewhere else...perhaps some that are still alive??? lol
Sorry, but it gave me a laugh too.:rotfl:
Right. I've rang school and have finally spoken with 2 different people about the bullying-I need to speak with DD as the teacher suggested that my DD has admitted that she started it all-I fail to see this myself but want to be clear of the facts before I arrange a meeting with the teacher who claims that despite me having left 3 messages for 2 different people...none of them have received any of the messages and personally I find that very difficult to believe!!!
I took eldest DD to hospital and her BP was 149/97 today-so it's actually getting worse. Anyway they have put her on a 24 hr BP monitor so that her BP will be recorded every half hour for the next 24hr-this is to give a truer picture and more accurate reading. The specialist will analyse the results and ask to see us again to decide what action to take. So I'm still really worried because her blood pressure is sky high and at the moment it is not being treated, she has been given nothing to lower it!!! I suppose they need to be thorough in their investigations, before they can treat the symptoms I guess they are looking for the cause.
I have got to ring my sister shortly for an update on my nephew, just though I would check in first and catch up on the thread before it is pages and pages long!¬!!
(((hugs))) to all who need or want one.

tattycath - hope that you get to the bottom of things and try not to get too stressed out by it all. Just be glad that its the weekend!

PP they are some interesting flowers you got there - hope you get a reply to your email!

today has turned into a bit of a washout - weather is yuck and my motivation has deserted me!!!

r.mac, you are so wise and wonderful, that post was lovely and so insightful!
I can't promise that all my replies will illicit this response :p
  • Tattycath, try not to worry too much about DD, if it was anything really serious, I'm sure they would have admitted her to hospital.

In the current 'sue anybody you can' climate, the last thing they would do is take any unnecessary risks.

PP, I'm not laughing at your flowers, tulips always look like that at my house - I've tried aspirin and pins through the top, but they always look dead after half an hour

Ruby, there's an interesting thread on the earning extra money about that type of phone call. You can actually make money out of them :D
You're only young once, but you can be immature forever :D
