Sorry Manchester is a bit far for me to travel on my own and my partner isnt up to the long drive. I hope it goes well for you all and hopefully in the future I'll make it . 0 . 0

Monkeygirl - there are others coming from your neck of the woods. I'm sure you could catch a lift with them if you really want to come - jw1096 has offered a seat? Just a thought 0 0

Good on you, TM, you've picked the one Saturday in October which I CAN actually do!
Count me in, though can I please have some idea what the plan's likely to be? I would prefer to return to London the same evening or I will miss out from the fee on my Sunday-morning singing job, and that wouldn't be in the spirit of a moneysaving get-together, now would it?
Can I assume there will be plenty going on if I get there at lunchtime and leave early in the evening?

there was talk of a Manchester meet earlier in the year, see here, but the date changed a few times and it has been put off until later in the year,
Martin did vote to have it later so he could try to attend
seems silly to have 2 MSE meets in same place at approx same time of year so why not combine

Have people actually booked the Travelodge? Is this definite? I'd like to go and hope that Spendless, Sarahsaver and Caterina (who attended the York meet) will be going too?!
 I'll try to book Travelodge if it's definite.Torgwen.......... ...........0 ...........0

I'll be booking mine as soon as I know if my lift is staying overnight or making it a day trip.
You're right though - it would be nice if people not only confirm that they are attending but if they've booked overnight too. Hi everyone.
The Travelodge is not a definite as ancasta was going to try and source alternative accommodation, however, it's looking like the strongest contender. I will pm ancasta and see what's what and will reply on here asap as to exact plans. The thing with the £10 rooms is that they are non-refundable, so I want to make sure that's where everyone is going.
I expect the 'itinerary' will be meeting up sometime during the day, doing 'whatever' and then some sort of eating and drinking type activity in the evening, with extra shopping as required on Sunday morning I haven't thought about the itinerary yet - give us a chance - only just got this bit going I haven't thought about the itinerary yet - give us a chance - only just got this bit going
I have had a pm from Martin. Whilst he would like to attend, it's 2 days before his new series airs so he will be really busy. However, the production company is in Manchester, so if by chance he is there anyway, he says he will try to pop along
Hopefully, I will have sorted out where we are staying by later tonight and the booking can commence 0 0

Yep we shall be going. Any news on where to stay yet? I am going away tomorrow so would like to book asap, so that we don't miss out on the £10.00 rooms.0

There seem to be a problem with the £10 rooms on that date at that travelodge - in that they aren't there at the moment! I am waiting for their internet team to ring me back because I may be able to get a group booking discount if nothing else. I'm desperately searching for other places to stay in and around Manchester, but nothing under about £46 per room.
 I'll keep you informed.......0
